The semilattice tensor product of distributive lattices
We define the tensor product A ⊗ B A \otimes B for arbitrary semilattices A and B. The construction is analogous to one used in ring theory (see [4], [7], [8]) and different from one studied by A.

THE LOAD DISTRIBUTION PROBLEM IN A PROCESSOR RING [PDF]
Abstract Given a global picture of the system load and the average load, the load distribution problem is to find a suitable schedule, consisting of the amount of excess load to transfer along every edge, so that the system load can be balanced in minimal time by executing the schedule.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Localization and Flatness in Quantale Theory
The study of flat ring morphisms is an important theme in commutative algebra. The purpose of this article is to develop an abstract theory of flatness in the framework of coherent quantales.

From regular modules to von Neumann regular rings via coordinatization [PDF]
In this paper we establish a very close link (in terms of von Neu- mann's coordinatization) between regular modules introduced by Zel- manowitz, on one hand, and von Neumann regular rings, on the other hand: we prove that the lattice L^{fg}(M) of all ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

A note on distributivity of the lattice of L-ideals of a ring [PDF]
Many studies have investigated the lattice of fuzzy substructures of algebraic structures such as groups and rings. In this study, we prove that the lattice of L-ideals of a ring is distributive if and only if the lattice of its ideals is distributive ...

Congruence Extensions in Congruence–Modular Varieties
We investigate from an algebraic and topological point of view the minimal prime spectrum of a universal algebra, considering the prime congruences with respect to the term condition commutator.
