An observer with controller to detect and reject disturbances

International Journal of Control, 2013
In this paper, a novel states observer is designed. This observer not only estimates the states, but also detects the disturbances by creating estimated signals. Then, both the observed states and detected disturbances are used in a control law to reject the disturbances, avoiding the requirement to know the states and disturbances.

Reach control problem with disturbance rejection

53rd IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2014
This paper begins by presenting an extension of classical linear regulator theory to affine systems and exosystems. The extension also allows for stable exosystem dynamics. This extension then provides the basis to develop a framework for the reach control problem with disturbances.

Robust control with rejection of harmonic disturbances

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1995
Summary: This paper considers a finite-time output feedback control problem for a class of uncertain systems subject to harmonic disturbances of known frequencies. The controller is required to minimize a quadratic cost functional subject to the given uncertainties and harmonic disturbances.

Network composition for optimal disturbance rejection

2016 American Control Conference (ACC), 2016
This paper investigates how the topology of a dynamical network affects its robustness against exogenous disturbances. We consider Laplacian-based network dynamics, and we adopt the H2 system norm to measure the robustness of the network against disturbances.

Leader-follower synchronization with disturbance rejection

2016 IEEE Conference on Control Applications (CCA), 2016
A distributed control strategy for leader-follower synchronization of agents with generic linear dynamics affected by constant unknown disturbances is presented. In particular, we consider a group of N + 1 agents, where we have a leader and N followers. The leader's behavior is independent of the followers'.

Disturbance rejection control for overhead cranes

2017 IEEE International Conference on Real-time Computing and Robotics (RCAR), 2017
In the presence of persistent perturbations in both unactuated and actuated dynamics of crane systems, this paper designs an observer-based robust control method that achieves the objective of trolley positioning and cargo swing suppression. The system dynamics are transformed into a quasi-chain-of-integrators form, based on which a reduced-order ...

Nonlinear disturbance rejection of a flexible robot

2001 European Control Conference (ECC), 2001
Many nonlinear systems are influenced by undesired external system inputs called disturbances. If such systems cannot be decoupled from the disturbances, it is necessary to compute a control law that reduces the influence of the disturbances with respect to the system outputs.

Rejection of nonharmonic disturbances in nonlinear systems

Kybernetika, 2010
Summary: This paper proposes an asymptotic rejection algorithm on the rejection of nonharmonic periodic disturbances for general nonlinear systems. The disturbances, which are produced by nonlinear exosystems, are nonharmonic and periodic. A new nonlinear internal model is proposed to deal with the disturbances.
