A SAKF-Based Composed Control Method for Improving Low-Speed Performance and Stability Accuracy of Opto-Electric Servomechanism

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
The opto-electric servomechanism (OES) plays an important role in obtaining clear and stable images from airborne infrared detectors. However, the inherent torque disturbance and the noisy speed signal cause a significant decline in the inertial ...

Torque-Type Backlash Inverse Control for an Electromechanical Actuator With Active Disturbance Rejection

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
Backlash inverse (BI) is a useful backlash compensator in electromechanical actuators (EMA). However, conventional BI is only relevant when the system damping is strong and the load torque is zero.

Experimental study of the VFD’s speed stabilization efficiency under torque disturbances

open access: yesInternational Journal of Power Electronics and Drive Systems (IJPEDS), 2021
The article presents a technique for experimental research of variable frequency drives experiencing periodic torque disturbances of variable frequency. The technique is based on the nonlinear transfer function of a link of an asynchronous electric motor, which forms an electromagnetic torque, proposed in previously published articles.

Azobenzene's Cross‐Scale Optics and Photonics: Molecular Photoswitching, Mesoscopic Material Motions, and Adaptive Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Azobenzene photoswitches translate molecular‐scale E/Z photoisomerization into macroscopic material responses and device‐level photonic functions. This Review highlights how azobenzene research has evolved from molecular photochemistry to photoalignment, mass migration, photomechanics, and heat release, ultimately enabling holography, reconfigurable ...

Optimal Control Drives Ultrafast and Energy‐Efficient Magnetization Switching in Van der Waals Magnets

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The accelerating expansion of data‐centric technologies is sharply increasing the energy burden of information storage, placing unprecedented pressure on the efficiency of magnetic switching. Conventional field‐driven reversal, once the foundation of magnetic memory, has become impractical in modern architectures due to its high energy cost ...

Programming of Complex Magnetic Profiles Enforced by 4D Printed Magnetic LCE Actuators

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A 4D printing‐enabled magnetic programming strategy is introduced in which thermally actuated liquid crystal elastomers are magnetized in their target shape to encode complex three‐dimensional magnetic profiles. The resulting actuators achieve multistate shape morphing and programmable locomotion under low magnetic fields, without requiring specialized

Synchronization of Two Self-Synchronous Vibrating Machines on an Isolation Frame

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2011
This paper investigates synchronization of two self-synchronous vibrating machines on an isolation rigid frame. Using the modified average method of small parameters, we deduce the non-dimensional coupling differential equations of the disturbance ...

A study of Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) Application for Mass Imbalance and Vibration Reduction in Gimbal Systems for High-speed Maneuverable Vehicles [PDF]

open access: yes한국정밀공학회지
This study proposed a method for simultaneously reducing mass imbalance and vibration in gimbal systems utilizing a tuned mass damper (TMD) as a balancing weight. Finite element analysis (FEA) and experiments were used for testing the method.
