Studies on the stability of dithiocarbamic acids
Talanta, 1969The influence of the substituent on the nitrogen atom with respect to the rate and pattern of decomposition of N,N-disubstituted dithiocarbamie acids has been studied. The rates of decomposition with respect to such variables as pH, temperature (activation parameters) and heavy water medium (solvent isotope effect), have been determined, and a ...

The preparation of tin(II) dithiocarbamates from ammonium dithiocarbamate salts
Inorganica Chimica Acta, 1975Abstract Ammonium dithiocarbamate salts, which can be formed directly from carbon disulfide and the appropriate dialkylamine, serviced as convenient precursors for tin(II)DTC complexes. The compounds Sn[S2CNR2]2, (R = CH3 and C2H5) were prepared in this manner and characterized by their ir, nmr, ESCA, and mass spectra as well as by thermogravimetric

Dithiocarbamate therapy for nickel dermatitis
Contact Dermatitis, 1978Increased internal exposure to nickel can cause an exacerbation of nickel contact dermatitis. Nickel ions are chelated by diethyldithiocarbamate (DDC) and thereby inactivated. An oral dose of about 1 g DDC/day was given to a patient. The nickel excretion in the urine increased about tenfold; the nickel elimination in scalp hair did not increase.

Environmental and pharmaceutical analysis of dithiocarbamates
Analytica Chimica Acta, 2007The current review aims at a comprehensive survey of analytical methods for the determination of dithiocarbamates (DTCs) in environmental and pharmaceutical samples. Besides parent compounds, analytical approaches for various metabolites and degradation products of DTCs are considered.
