HCMM energy budget data as a model input for assessing regions of high potential groundwater pollution [PDF]
The author has identified the following significant results. To investigate the general relationship between surface temperature and soil moisture profiles, a series of model calculations were carried out. Soil temperature profiles were calculated during

How Do Martian Dust Devils Vary Throughout the Sol? [PDF]
Dust devils are vortices of air made visible by entrained dust particles. Dust devils have been observed on Earth and captured in many Mars lander and orbiter images. Martian dust devils may be important to the global climate and are parameterised within

Orchard netting impacts on biodiversity leading to cascading effects at the ecosystem level
ABSTRACT Agriculture must ensure food production without further compromising the ecosystem functions upon which it depends. Agricultural practices should therefore avoid harming farmland biodiversity, especially of taxa that supply the key ecosystem services (e.g.

Diurnal Variability of the Upper Ocean Simulated by a Climate Model
We use a version of the NOAA Climate Forecast System with enhanced (up to 1‐m) ocean model vertical resolution to investigate the mean diurnal cycles of upper ocean temperature and currents.

Light–Moisture Coupling for Enhanced Energy Harvesting
Light–moisture coupling energy‐harvesting devices exhibit improved power output and long‐term stability by continuously consuming accumulated protons via photogenerated carriers, thereby dynamically reconstructing ion concentration gradients during operation.

Diurnal variations from muon data at Takeyama underground station [PDF]
An underground station, Takeyama, is introduced, and some results of the solar diurnal and semi-diurnal variations for the period between 1967 and 1984 are presented.

Consumer diversity drives stronger predation in tropical marine communities
Biotic interactions are predicted to be stronger in the tropics compared to higher latitudes, contributing to observed patterns of global biodiversity. While increased consumer diversity and more complex food webs are expected in tropical communities, the trophic dynamics underlying strong regional effects of predation are not well understood.
