Pristane (5 mL/kg) induced a robust systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)‐like phenotype in Macaca fascicularis, marked by elevated antinuclear antibody (ANA) levels and systemic clinical, hematological, and biochemical changes. This model closely reflects human SLE and provides a translational platform for disease studies and therapeutic evaluation ...

Steroid‐induced ocular hypertension is a useful mouse model for glaucoma, but published work rarely quantifies how route, dose, and schedule shape the intraocular pressure (IOP) time‐course—hindering reproducibility and forcing labs to pilot protocols.

The sidereal anisotropy of cosmic rays around 3 x 10 (15) eV observed at a middle north latitude [PDF]
The sidereal time variation of cosmic rays (median primary energy : 3 10 to the 15th power eV) is investigated with air shower observations at Akeno, Japan (900 m a.s.l.) which started in September 1981.

Thermal tides in the Martian middle atmosphere as seen by the Mars Climate Sounder [PDF]
The first systematic observations of the middle atmosphere of Mars (35–80km) with the Mars Climate Sounder (MCS) show dramatic patterns of diurnal thermal variation, evident in retrievals of temperature and water ice opacity.

The Diurnal Variation of Epidermal Metabolism
In previous studies, the rates of epidermal glycolysis and amino acid incorporation were found to parallel rates of mitosis in both the hypoplasia associated with starvation and the hyperplasia produced by treatment with hexadecane. To examine whether similar changes in epidermal metabolism accompany the known diurnal variation in epidermal mitotic ...

Stability of diurnal cortisol measures across days, weeks, and years across middle childhood and early adolescence: Exploring the role of age, pubertal development, and sex. [PDF]
Effective regulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis (HPA-axis) has been linked to numerous health outcomes. Within-person variation in diurnal measures of HPA-axis regulation assessed over days, months, and years can range between 50-73% of ...

Diurnal variation of the potassium layer in the upper atmosphere [PDF]
Measurements of the diurnal cycle of potassium (K) atoms between 80 and 110km have been made during October (for the years 2004–2011) using a Doppler lidar at Kühlungsborn, Germany (54.1°N,11.7°E).
