Pseudobases in Direct Powers of an Algebra [PDF]
A subset P of an abstract algebra A is a pseudobasis if every function from P into A extends uniquely to an endomorphism on A. A is called K-free has a pseudobasis of cardinality K; A is minimally free if A has a pseudobasis.

Gabriel-Roiter inclusions and Auslander-Reiten theory
Let $\Lambda$ be an artin algebra. The aim of this paper is to outline a strong relationship between the Gabriel-Roiter inclusions and the Auslander-Reiten theory. If $X$ is a Gabriel-Roiter submodule of $Y,$ then $Y$ is shown to be a factor module of an

Let D be a division ring with the center F and suppose that D* is the multiplicative group of D. D is called centrally finite if D is a finite dimensional vector space over F and D is locally centrally finite if every finite subset of D generates over F a division subring which is a finite dimensional vector space over F.

A Cre‐dependent lentiviral vector for neuron subtype‐specific expression of large proteins
We designed a versatile and modular lentivector comprising a Cre‐dependent switch and self‐cleaving 2A peptide and tested it for co‐expression of GFP and a 2.8 kb gene of interest (GOI) in mouse cortical parvalbumin (PV+) interneurons and midbrain dopamine (TH+) neurons.

Abstract We define a new class of rings parameterized by binary forms of a certain type and give an effective lower bound for the number of such rings whose discriminant is less than a bound $X$. We also obtain a lower bound for the number of number fields whose ring of integers is in the above class and whose discriminant is less than a

The role and implications of mammalian cellular circadian entrainment
At their most fundamental level, mammalian circadian rhythms occur inside every individual cell. To tell the correct time, cells must align (or ‘entrain’) their circadian rhythm to the external environment. In this review, we highlight how cells entrain to the major circadian cues of light, feeding and temperature, and the implications this has for our

8x14Gb/s ring WDM modulator array with integrated tungsten heaters and Ge monitor photodetectors [PDF]
An 8x14Gb/s wavelength-division multiplexed Si ring modulator array is presented with uniform channel performance. Tungsten heaters and Ge monitor photodetectors at the ring modulator drop ports are co-integrated to track and control the modulation ...

Crosstalk between the ribosome quality control‐associated E3 ubiquitin ligases LTN1 and RNF10
Loss of the E3 ligase LTN1, the ubiquitin‐like modifier UFM1, or the deubiquitinating enzyme UFSP2 disrupts endoplasmic reticulum–ribosome quality control (ER‐RQC), a pathway that removes stalled ribosomes and faulty proteins. This disruption may trigger a compensatory response to ER‐RQC defects, including increased expression of the E3 ligase RNF10 ...

AbstractIt is shown that a stable division ring with positive characteristic has finite dimension over its centre. This is then extended to simple division rings.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.
