Valuation Methods in Division Rings
Let \(R\) be a \(Z\)-filtered ring whose associated graded ring is an Ore domain. Then \(R\) can be embedded in a skew field. This was proved by the reviewer [Proc. Lond. Math. Soc., III. Ser. 11, 511-530 (1961; Zbl 0104.032)]. The author here gives another relatively short proof of this result; this brings the number of proofs in print to five [see ...

This study investigated a novel WST‐8‐based assay for evaluating d‐Amino acid oxidase (DAO) inhibitors. We confirmed its effectiveness using known inhibitors and found that uremic toxins possess relatively weak inhibitory activity compared to existing drugs.

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Cell division protein CdpA organises and anchors the midcell ring in haloarchaea
Many archaea appear to divide through the coordinated activities of two FtsZ homologues (FtsZ1 and FtsZ2) and another bacterial cell division homologue (SepF), which are part of the midcell division ring. Here, we identify an additional protein (HVO_0739,

A relay race of ESCRT-III paralogs drives cell division in a hyperthermophilic archaeon
Cell division is a fundamental process ensuring the perpetuation of all cellular life forms. Archaea of the order Sulfolobales divide using a simpler version of the eukaryotic endosomal sorting complexes required for transport (ESCRT) machinery, composed

Despite frogs avoiding low temperatures, examination of four salamander species revealed that none avoided cold and all possessed cold tolerance. Functional analysis of TRPM8, a cold sensor, showed that all salamander TRPM8s had lost their cold sensitivity.
