Exact resultants for corner-cut unmixed multivariate polynomial systems using the Dixon formulation
Structural conditions on the support of a multivariate polynomial system are developed for which the Dixon-based resultant methods compute exact resultants.

Computing the Dixon Resultant with the Maple Package DR
The Maple package DR provides functions for computing the Dixon resultant of a system of parametric multi-variate polynomials. The Dixon resultant constitutes a necessary condition for the polynomials to have a common root after specializing their parameters.

Implitcitizing bi-cubi toric surfaces by dixon alpha-resultant quotients
Toric surface patches have two significant geometric properties: they are multi-sided and they are generalizations of both the triangular and rectangular Bezier surface patches. They also have a very nice algebraic property: their implicit equations are closely related to the Dixon determinant.

Catalytic Enantioselective Intramolecular Aza‐Michael Addition to α,β‐Unsaturated Esters
A general method for accessing enantioenriched saturated N‐heterocycles via a catalytic enantioselective intramolecular aza‐Michael reaction to α,β‐unsaturated esters is described. A superbasic bifunctional iminophosphorane (BIMP) catalyst was key to enabling reactivity of the high pKa sulfonamide pronucleophile, whilst delivering good to excellent ...

Targeting the PDK1/c‐Myc/SOX10 Signaling in Oligodendrocytes Alleviates Neuropathic Pain
This work reveals that oligodendrocyte homeostasis, mediated by PDK1, is a critical determinant of neuropathic pain (NPP) pathogenesis. Disruption of PDK1 in oligodendrocytes impairs SOX10‐dependent myelination programs through c‐Myc accumulation, leading to disrupted myelination and the pathophysiology of NPP.

Nigral dopaminergic (DA) neurons modulate and represent pain with a preference to a particular modality (mechanical) and laterality (contralateral), which are controlled by nigral GABAergic neurons. The pain modulation is mimicked by the nigro‐subthalamic projection and its downstream neurons, involving D2‐like receptors.

SuFEx‐Enabled Reprogramming of Flavonoids for Selective α‐Glucosidase Covalent Inhibition
Selective inhibition of intestinal α‐glucosidase remains limited by poor enzyme specificity and off‐target metabolic effects. Here, SuFEx click chemistry is used to reprogram natural flavonoids into covalent inhibitors with enhanced α‐glucosidase selectivity and controlled reactivity. This strategy enables effective regulation of carbohydrate digestion

Multi‐Targeting Carnosic Acid Kills Drug‐Resistant Helicobacter pylori With Narrow‐Spectrum Activity
Carnosic acid selectively eradicates drug‐resistant Helicobacter pylori through a multi‐targeted mechanism involving urease inhibition, membrane disruption, and biofilm eradication. It exhibits no detectable resistance, potent in vivo efficacy, and minimal impact on gut microbiota, positioning it as a promising narrow‐spectrum lead compound against ...

Rectangular Corner Cutting and Dixon A -resultants
AbstractThe classical Dixon resultant for three bi-degree polynomials in two variables is an A -resultant with a rectangular bi-degree monomial support. This paper shows that the determinant of the Dixon coefficient matrix persists as an A -resultant after rectangular corner cutting, that is, the removal of one or more rectangular sub-supports at the ...
