In this paper, in order to clarify the tribology between diamond-like carbon (DLC) and metals under water lubricated conditions, nano-indentation and shear strength measurements for the tribo-layers were attempted in water. Stainless steel (AISI 630) and

Seizure and Friction Properties of the DLC Coated Journal and Aluminum Alloy Bearing
Using a bearing tester that can control the relative positional relationship between the shaft and the bearing in parallel, the seizure and friction property of the combination of a-C:H:Si DLC coated journal and the aluminum alloy bearing were verified ...

In our previous study, it was found that the wear life of the DLC/AlN hybrid film compared with a DLC film deposited directly onto Al-alloy could be improved by controlling the hardness of the AlN intermediate layer film.

A GSH‐responsive AIE nanoplatform (TSH NPs) with RGD‐mediated tumor targeting co‐delivers a photosensitizer (TPA) and HCPT for extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. The system synergistically enhances PDT and chemotherapy by suppressing HIF‐1α/VEGF‐driven hypoxic adaptation, effectively overcoming PDT resistance.

Highly Entangled Bottlebrush Polymer Networks
Bottlebrush polymers are difficult to entangle, enabling ultrasoft yet brittle networks. We report highly entangled bottlebrush elastomers that remain ultrasoft (∼1 kPa) yet stretch to ∼1800% and exhibit exceptional fatigue resistance. Their intrinsic fatigue strength—fatigue threshold normalized by modulus—surpasses that of highly entangled linear ...

Friction Properties of the DLC Film with Periodic Structures in Nano-scale
Reduction of friction at very low normal loads and for very small contact areas is important for the development of micro devices. High performance hard coatings such as diamond-like carbon (DLC) films and improved surfaces with nanostructures are being ...

ZDDP Tribofilm Formation on Non-Ferrous Surfaces
The current trend for using lower viscosity lubricants with the aim of improving fuel economy of mechanical systems means that machine components are required to operate for longer periods in thin oil film, boundary and mixed lubrication conditions ...

A Fentanyl‐Responsive Microneedle Patch for Harm Reduction
A fentanyl‐responsive microneedle patch is developed as a self‐regulating overdose intervention that releases naloxone upon detecting fentanyl. The system employs aptamer‐functionalized nanoparticles embedded in a swellable polymer matrix to enable rapid, on‐demand drug delivery through the skin.
