One‐Step Glycoengineering of NK Cells With High‐Affinity Siglec Ligands for Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study develops an engineered NmCSS enzyme with improved activity for bulky group modified sialic acids, enabling efficient synthesis of structurally diverse sialoside analogs in a single step. Glycan microarray screening identified Siglec high‐affinity ligands, which were incorporated onto natural killer (NK) cells via a one‐pot enzymatic system ...

Fairness Notions in DAG-Based DLTs

open access: yes2023 5th Conference on Blockchain Research & Applications for Innovative Networks and Services (BRAINS), 2023
This paper investigates the issue of fairness in Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), specifically focusing on the shortcomings observed in current blockchain systems due to Miner Extractable Value (MEV) phenomena and systemic centralization. We explore the potential of Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) as a solution to address or mitigate these fairness ...

G4‐Ligand‐Directed PROTACs Unveil DR1 as a Novel Ligand‐Co‐Binding G4‐Protein and Reshape G4‐Dependent Transcription

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
G4‐binding proteins (G4BPs) that specifically co‐bind G4s in the presence of small‐molecule ligands represent a critical but unexplored class of proteins. We introduce G4‐Ligand‐Directed PROTACs (G4L‐TACs), a chemical platform that couples G4 ligands (PDS) to E3 recruiters to selectively degrade these ligand‐co‐binding G4BPs.

Effect of intubation in lateral position on placement of a double-lumen tube in patients undergoing unilateral video-assisted thoracic surgery: a randomied clinical trialResearch in context

open access: yesEClinicalMedicine
Summary: Background: Approximately one-third of patients who undergo double-lumen tube (DLT) intubation in the conventional supine position experience DLT malposition. No randomized study investigates the effect of DLT intubation in the lateral position.

Comparison of displacement of polyvinyl chloride and silicone left-sided double-lumen tubes during lateral positioning [PDF]

open access: yesKorean Journal of Anesthesiology, 2019
Background Compared to an equivalent sized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) double-lumen tube (DLT), a silicone DLT has a shorter endobronchial segment. The aim of this study was to compare the incidence of clinically significant displacement of left-sided PVC ...

DL-Tags: DLT and Smart Tags for Decentralized, Privacy-Preserving, and Verifiable Supply Chain Management

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Supply chain management enhanced by the Internet of Things (IoT) solutions integrate special tags (e.g., RFID, NFC, and QR-codes) with products to create Smart Tags, in addition to storing supplemental information about a product, which is also used to ...

OsGSK2‐OsTCP19 Module Integrates Nitrogen and Brassinosteroid Signaling to Regulate Nitrogen Utilization and Root Growth in Rice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
OsGSK2‐OsTCP19 module regulating nitrate response and lateral root (LR) development. Low‐nitrate condition results in reduced BR response, accumulation of OsGSK2 and phosphorylated OsTCP19, which suppresses the expression of nitrate‐responsive genes and LR‐development genes and impairs rice growth.

Selective Ion‐Blocking Strategy for Stabilizing Perovskite Tandem Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A selective ion‐blocking Li─T interlayer is introduced at LiF‐passivated perovskite interfaces to suppress fluorine diffusion while preserving the beneficial interfacial passivation of LiF. This ion‐blocking strategy markedly improves the long‐term operational stability of both single‐junction and monolithic all‐perovskite tandem cells under continuous
