Discovery of Some New Heterocyclic Systems from Carbene‐Based Reactions of Indigo and N‐Methyl Derivatives

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 28, Issue 46, December 12, 2025.
Accessing new heterocyclic structural space on exposure of indigo‐based substrates to carbene or carbenoid reactive intermediates is the key focus of this work. A number of unprecedented heterocyclic products have been discovered and their structures characterized.

A Portable Direct Methanol Fuel Cell Power Station for Long-Term Internet of Things Applications

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
With regard to the best electro-chemical efficiency of an active direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC), the stacks and their balance of plant (BOP) are complex to build and operate. The yield of making the large-scale stacks is difficult to improve. Therefore,

Grain sedimentation inside giant planet embryos

open access: yes, 2010
In the context of massive fragmenting protoplanetary discs, Boss (1998) suggested that grains can grow and sediment inside giant planet embryos formed at R ~ 5 AU away from the star. Several authors since then criticised the suggestion.

Harnessing Photo‐Energy Conversion in Nanomaterials for Precision Theranostics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 48, December 3, 2025.
Harnessing photo‐energy conversion in nanomaterials enables precision theranostics through light‐driven mechanisms such as photoluminescence, photothermal, photoelectric, photoacoustic, photo‐triggered surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS), and photodynamic processes. This review explores six fundamental principles of photo‐energy conversion, recent
