Using an in situ nucleosome stability assay based on salt extraction, we identified distinct stability features of H2A.Z-containing nucleosomes linked to alternative interactions of the histone variant’s C-terminal tail (Imre et al., Nat. Commun., 2024).

A biomimetic artificial extracellular matrix is assembled directly on Pseudomonas fluorescens by co‐assembling amyloid‐like lysozyme and alginate at the cell surface. This conformal nanocoating acts as both a hydration buffer and a physiological priming layer, markedly enhancing desiccation tolerance, seed adhesion, storage stability, and biocontrol ...

Mechanistic Understanding of Protein–MOF Integration Through Surfactant‐Driven Interfacial Design
This study reveals how surfactant‐driven interfacial design governs the assembly and stability of protein@MOF composites. Using lipid‐based nonionic surfactants, we modulate protein–MOF interactions to improve encapsulation efficiency, MOF crystallization, and catalytic performance.

Molecular Mimics: How Viral Genomes Dupe Their Host by Usurping CTCF to Establish Infection
The eukaryotic genome is organized into distinct structural units dictated by architectural proteins. The major host architectural protein CCCTC-binding factor (CTCF) is usurped by DNA viruses to regulate viral gene expression.

SKALE 2.0 maps disease‐associated protein aggregation as a phase‐resolved structural process, linking mutation‐induced geometric perturbations to nucleation, elongation, and suppressor design. Across neurodegenerative proteins, the framework reveals cryptic aggregation vulnerabilities, separates phase‐concordant and phase‐switching mutations, and ...

We present a chromosome‐level genome assembly of Siraitia grosvenorii and, through comparative genomics, uncover a conserved UGT73 tandem array driving triterpenoid saponin diversification in Cucurbitaceae. Crystalized SgUGT73AM30 further reveals the regioselectivity mechanism underlying its catalytic activity.
