Fabrication of Multifunctional FeSi Gyroid Lattice Composites via Additive Manufacturing and Polymer Infiltration

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 28, Issue 3, 4 February 2026.
A two‐step approach combining laser powder bed fusion of FeSi electrical steel with Bakelite infiltration enables the fabrication of multifunctional gyroid lattice composites. The resulting structures exhibit high strength, magnetic anisotropy, and complete polymer infiltration, demonstrating a simple and scalable route toward lightweight, mechanically

Considering Pregnancy: Duality in the Reproductive Journey and Decision‐Making in Hispanic Women With Systemic Lupus Erythematosus in the United States

open access: yesACR Open Rheumatology, Volume 8, Issue 2, February 2026.
Objective Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) commonly affects women during their childbearing years, making pregnancy experiences especially important to understand. This is particularly true for US Hispanic women, who face a higher SLE burden, more unplanned pregnancies, and frequent language or cultural discordance with clinicians.

Regulating Solvent Co‐Intercalation in Bi‐Layered Vanadium Oxides for Zinc Batteries by Nanoconfinement Chemistry

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 4, 22 January 2026.
The feasibility of regulating solvent co‐intercalation by electrode nanoconfinement design is demonstrated. Through decreasing interlayer hydration and introducing organic molecules with reduced lone electron‐pair density, the interlayer solvo‐philicity of bi‐layered vanadium oxides is tuned.

Drosophila model to clarify the pathological significance of OPA1 in autosomal dominant optic atrophy

open access: yeseLife
Autosomal dominant optic atrophy (DOA) is a progressive form of blindness caused by degeneration of retinal ganglion cells and their axons, mainly caused by mutations in the OPA1 mitochondrial dynamin like GTPase (OPA1) gene.

Strategies to Improve the Lipophilicity of Hydrophilic Macromolecular Drugs

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 15, Issue 5, 2 February 2026.
Hydrophilic macromolecular drugs can be successfully lipidized by covalent attachment of lipids, by hydrophobic ion pairing with negatively or positively charged surfactants, and by dry or wet reverse micelle formation. Lipophilicity enhancement of hydrophilic macromolecules has several benefits including stability and bioavailability improvement ...
