Scalable Task Planning via Large Language Models and Structured World Representations

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work efficiently combines graph‐based world representations with the commonsense knowledge in Large Language Models to enhance planning techniques for the large‐scale environments that modern robots will need to face. Planning methods often struggle with computational intractability when solving task‐level problems in large‐scale environments ...

Development of a Novel Disturbance Observer Based Fractional Order PD Controller for a Gun Control System

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2014
Motion control of gun barrels is an ongoing topic for the development of gun control equipment (GCE) with excellent performances. In this paper, a novel disturbance observer (DOB) based fractional order PD (FOPD) control strategy is proposed for the GCE.

Unvollendetes: the Oxford Plato lexicon [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In one obvious sense this paper is a misfit within a book that otherwise charts so much achievement. The unfinished project that it describes occupied the attention of two Scottish professors and, in its later reincarnation, a distinguished German ...

Interactions of Antibody Drug Conjugate Anti‐Tubulin and Topoisomerase I Inhibitor Payloads with Radiotherapy to Potentiate Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Antibody drug conjugates deliver their cytotoxic anti‐tubulin or topoisomerase I inhibitor payloads to tumors through cancer cell receptor targeting. The released drug payloads induce cellular changes that interact with radiotherapy resulting in radiosensitization that improves cancer cell kill and stimulates anti‐tumor immune responses.

Degree of Bending (DoB) in Tubular KT-Joints of Jacket Structures Subjected to Axial Loads

open access: yesInternational Journal of Maritime Technology, 2015
The fatigue life of tubular joints commonly found in offshore industry is not only dependent on the value of Hot-spot stress (HSS), but is also significantly influenced by the through-the-thickness stress distribution characterized by the degree of ...

β‐Adrenergic Signaling Promotes Anti‐Tumor Immunity in TP53‐mutant Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
β‐adrenergic stimulation enhances anti‐tumor immunity in TP53‐deficient oral squamous cell carcinoma by inducing tumor‐derived secretion of CXCL10, which attracts and activates cytotoxic CD8+ T cells. The findings demonstrate that β‐adrenergic signaling alters tumor–immune interactions via CXCL10‐mediated paracrine activation, revealing a neuro‐immune ...

Ultrastrong TEMPO‐Oxidized Densified Bamboo via Interface Decoupling and Hierarchical Toughening

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study develops TEMPO‐oxidized densified bamboo that achieves ultrahigh strength and toughness by decoupling rigid hydrogen bonds into reversible van der Waals interactions. TEMPO oxidation reorganizes the cellulose hydrogen‐bonding network, facilitating energy dissipation via reversible interactions, thereby establishing a general strategy to ...
