On Line-of-Sight Stabilization of Fizeau Phased Array Telescope System With Delay Compensation-Based Disturbance Observer

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal
In the satellite-borne Fizeau phased array telescope (FPAT), the imaging quality is significantly deteriorated by tip-tilt disturbances induced by carrier maneuvering.

Independently Parameterised Momenta Variables and Monte Carlo IR Subtraction

open access: yes, 2018
We introduce a system of parameters for the Monte Carlo generation of Lorentz invariant phase space that is particularly well-suited to the treatment of the infrared divergences that occur in the most singular, Born-like configurations of $1\to n$ QCD ...

Scalable Task Planning via Large Language Models and Structured World Representations

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work efficiently combines graph‐based world representations with the commonsense knowledge in Large Language Models to enhance planning techniques for the large‐scale environments that modern robots will need to face. Planning methods often struggle with computational intractability when solving task‐level problems in large‐scale environments ...

Development of a Novel Disturbance Observer Based Fractional Order PD Controller for a Gun Control System

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2014
Motion control of gun barrels is an ongoing topic for the development of gun control equipment (GCE) with excellent performances. In this paper, a novel disturbance observer (DOB) based fractional order PD (FOPD) control strategy is proposed for the GCE.

Long‐Term Effects of Xenotransplantation of Human Enteric Glia in an Immunocompetent Rat Model of Acute Brain Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Acute brain injuries are characterized by extensive tissue damage, resulting in debilitating deficits in patients. Despite considerable progress, cell‐based approaches have yet to identify an ideal candidate. This long‐term study explores the use of an untested cell source – human enteric glia – and a non‐invasive administration route – intranasal ...

Degree of Bending (DoB) in Tubular KT-Joints of Jacket Structures Subjected to Axial Loads

open access: yesInternational Journal of Maritime Technology, 2015
The fatigue life of tubular joints commonly found in offshore industry is not only dependent on the value of Hot-spot stress (HSS), but is also significantly influenced by the through-the-thickness stress distribution characterized by the degree of ...

Interactions of Antibody Drug Conjugate Anti‐Tubulin and Topoisomerase I Inhibitor Payloads with Radiotherapy to Potentiate Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Antibody drug conjugates deliver their cytotoxic anti‐tubulin or topoisomerase I inhibitor payloads to tumors through cancer cell receptor targeting. The released drug payloads induce cellular changes that interact with radiotherapy resulting in radiosensitization that improves cancer cell kill and stimulates anti‐tumor immune responses.
