As folhas de Dodonea viscosa foram administradas por via oral a cinco bovinos, dos quais quatro receberam folhas verdes frescas e o quinto, folhas secas. Quatro animais apresentaram sinais clínicos e morreram, enquanto o quinto bovino não adoeceu.
