Generation of Triangular Meshes for Complex Domains on the Plane [PDF]
Many physical phenomena can be modeled by partial differential equations. The development of numerical methods based on the spatial subdivision of a domain into finite elements immediately extended interests to the tasks of generating a mesh.

Constraint Programming viewed as Rule-based Programming
We study here a natural situation when constraint programming can be entirely reduced to rule-based programming. To this end we explain first how one can compute on constraint satisfaction problems using rules represented by simple first-order formulas ...

Benchmarking Domain Generalization Algorithms in Computational Pathology
Deep learning models have shown immense promise in computational pathology (CPath) tasks, but their performance often suffers when applied to unseen data due to domain shifts. Addressing this requires domain generalization (DG) algorithms. However, a systematic evaluation of DG algorithms in the CPath context is lacking.

Digital twins to accelerate target identification and drug development for immune‐mediated disorders
Digital twins integrate patient‐derived molecular and clinical data into personalised computational models that simulate disease mechanisms. They enable rapid identification and validation of therapeutic targets, prediction of drug responses, and prioritisation of candidate interventions.

Syn2Real Detection in the Sky: Generation and Adaptation of Synthetic Aerial Ship Images
Object detection in computer vision requires a sufficient amount of training data to produce an accurate and general model. However, aerial images are difficult to acquire, so the collection of aerial image datasets is a priority issue.

Algebraic Dynamic Programming on Trees
Where string grammars describe how to generate and parse strings, tree grammars describe how to generate and parse trees. We show how to extend generalized algebraic dynamic programming to tree grammars.

Sympiler: Transforming Sparse Matrix Codes by Decoupling Symbolic Analysis
Sympiler is a domain-specific code generator that optimizes sparse matrix computations by decoupling the symbolic analysis phase from the numerical manipulation stage in sparse codes. The computation patterns in sparse numerical methods are guided by the

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.
