ON RESIDUALLY INTEGRALLY CLOSED DOMAINS

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2003
Summary: A domain \(R\) is called residually integrally closed if \(R/p\) is an integrally closed domain for each prime ideal \(p\) of \(R\). We show that residually integrally closed domains satisfy some chain conditions on prime ideals. We give characterization of such domains in case they contain a field of characteristic 0.

α‐Synuclein aggregation landscape from phase separation to neurotoxic intermediates

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Alpha‐synuclein aggregation in Parkinson's disease involves a complex landscape of transient intermediates, including oligomers, fibrils and liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS). A view is emerging in which LLPS maturation into solid‐like condensates may contribute to the formation of neurotoxic species.

Prediction of Time Domain Vibro-Acoustic Response of Conical Shells Using Jacobi–Ritz Boundary Element Method

open access: yesAcoustics
Considering the lack of studies on the transient vibro-acoustic properties of conical shell structures, a Jacobi–Ritz boundary element method for forced vibro-acoustic behaviors of structure is proposed based on the Newmark-β integral method and the ...

Three phosphatase families form a community: The phosphohydrolases that act upon inositol pyrophosphates

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.
