Clinical and Biological Features of Response in Resistant Neuroblastoma to 131I‐Metaiodobenzylguanidine Radiotherapy in the Anti‐GD2 Immunotherapy Era

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background 131I‐metaiodobenzylguanidine (131I‐MIBG) radiotherapy is a key treatment for relapsed and refractory (R/R) neuroblastoma (NB). Patients with R/R disease treated in the modern era are increasingly exposed to anti‐GD2 immunotherapy, which exerts selective pressure and may modify both tumor cell state and microenvironment.

A time-domain finite element model reduction method for viscoelastic linear and nonlinear systems

open access: yesLatin American Journal of Solids and Structures
Many authors have shown that the effective design of viscoelastic systems can be conveniently carried out by using modern mathematical models to represent the frequency- and temperature-dependent behavior of viscoelastic materials.

Evaluation of Partial Factorization for Reduction of Finite Element Matrices

open access: yesEngineering Transactions, 2017
In this paper, we present the concept of Partial Factorization [1] And discuss its possible applications to the Finite Element method. We consider: (1) reduction of the element tangent matrix, which is particularly important for mixed/enhanced elements ...

A Domain Decomposition Model Reduction Method for Linear Convection-Diffusion Equations with Random Coefficients [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Scientific Computing, 2019
We develop a domain-decomposition model reduction method for linear steady-state convection-diffusion equations with random coefficients. Of particular interest to this effort are the diffusion equations with random diffusivities, and the convection-dominated transport equations with random velocities.

Serological Benefit of SARS‐CoV‐2 Vaccination Relative to Infection in Children With Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) are at risk of severe outcomes from SARS‐CoV‐2 (SCV2). In the post‐pandemic context, where most children have been infected with SCV2, there are limited data on whether vaccination remains beneficial in children with ALL.

Full-Waveform Inversion of Seismic Input Motions at a Domain Reduction Method Boundary in a PML-truncated domain [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
A new inverse modeling is investigated for identifying an effective seismic force at virtual interfaces and estimating the seismic wave motions in an interior domain surrounded by a domain reduction method (DRM) boundary from limited seismic measurement ...

Proposed method for dimensionality reduction based on framework in gene expression domain

open access: yesGenetics and Molecular Research, 2014
The excessive use of attributes may affect the search for patterns and extraction of useful knowledge, because they harm the learning performance of algorithms in both speed and success rate. The use of dimensionality reduction methods is therefore an important alternative; however, these methods do not deal with the reduction of attributes in a ...

The Role of Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation in Ataxia‐Telangiectasia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Ataxia‐telangiectasia (A‐T) is a DNA repair disorder characterized by neurodegeneration, immunodeficiency, and cancer predisposition. Hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) is an established therapy in related disorders such as Fanconi anemia (FA) and Nijmegen breakage syndrome (NBS), but its role in A‐T is unclear.

Application of Semi-Airborne Frequency Domain Electromagnetic Data Based on Improved Ant-Colony-Optimized Wavelet Threshold Denoising Method

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
The semi-airborne frequency domain electromagnetic detection method is a popular electromagnetic detection method in which the transmission system is excited on the ground and the reception system coil is in the air to measure the vertical magnetic field

Efficacy and Safety Analysis of Roxarestat in Regulating Renal Anemia in Patients on Maintenance Hemodialysis

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To compare the efficacy and safety of roxarestat versus recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO) in the management of renal anemia in patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis. Methods This was a prospective, open‐label, randomized controlled trial.
