Magnetic microscopy of topologically protected homochiral domain walls in an ultrathin perpendicularly magnetized Co film [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Next-generation concepts for solid-state memory devices are based on current-driven domain wall propagation, where the wall velocity governs the device performance. It has been shown that the domain wall velocity and the direction of travel is controlled

Quantum Dynamics of Spin Wave Propagation through Domain Walls [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Physical Society of Japan, 2006
Through numerical solution of the time-dependent Schrodinger equation, we demonstrate that magnetic chains with uniaxial anisotropy support stable structures, separating ferromagnetic domains of opposite magnetization. These structures, domain walls in a quantum system, are shown to remain stable if they interact with a spin wave. We find that a domain

Dynamics of chiral domain walls under applied current in cylindrical magnetic nanowires

open access: yesAPL Materials, 2022
The dynamics of two types of chiral magnetic domain walls in magnetic cylindrical nanowires under spin-polarized current are investigated by means of micromagnetic simulations. We show that Bloch point domain walls with chirality identical to that of the

Current induced domain wall propagation in Co-rich amorphous microwires

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2017
We studied the influence of the AC current flowing through the magnetically bistable Co-rich microwire on the magnetization dynamics. We used previously developed Sixtus-Tonks modified set-up for evaluation of the domain wall (DW) velocity within the ...

Review of Domain Wall Dynamics Engineering in Magnetic Microwires

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2020
The influence of magnetic anisotropy, post-processing conditions, and defects on the domain wall (DW) dynamics of amorphous and nanocrystalline Fe-, Ni-, and Co-rich microwires with spontaneous and annealing-induced magnetic bistability has been ...

Magnetic Microwires with Unique Combination of Magnetic Properties Suitable for Various Magnetic Sensor Applications

open access: yesSensors, 2020
There is a pressing demand to improve the performance of cost-effective soft magnetic materials for use in high performance sensors and devices. Giant Magneto-impedance effect (GMI), or fast single domain wall (DW) propagation can be observed in properly

Single Domain Wall Propagation at Low Fields

open access: yesActa Physica Polonica A, 2014
We have studied the domain wall propagation at low elds regime in thin glass-coated microwire of composition Fe77.5Si7.5B15. It is shown, that power law describes domain wall dynamics at low elds. Such behaviour results from the interaction of the propagating domain wall with the defects present in the material.

Antiferromagnetic domain wall creep driven by magnetoelectric effect

open access: yesAPL Materials, 2018
We observed the magnetoelectric induced domain wall propagation in a Pt/Co/Au/Cr2O3/Pt stacked thin film based on magnetic domain observations using scanning soft X-ray magnetic circular dichroism microscopy.

Asymmetric magnetic bubble expansion under in-plane field in Pt/Co/Pt: effect of interface engineering [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We analyse the impact of growth conditions on asymmetric magnetic bubble expansion under in-plane field in ultrathin Pt / Co / Pt films. Specifically, using sputter deposition we vary the Ar pressure during the growth of the top Pt layer.
