Prediction of Properties of Polymer Composite Formulations Using Ensemble Models With Feature Generation

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
This study develops an interpretable machine‐learning framework to predict multiple properties of polymer composites based on composition and processing variables. By combining ensemble models with composition‐based feature generation and SHAP‐based interpretation, the approach reveals composition‐property relationships and supports efficient multi ...

Chlorella vulgaris biorefineries: sustainable biofuels and high‐value carbon capture

open access: yesBiofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining, EarlyView.
Abstract Global reliance on fossil fuels has created urgent economic and environmental challenges, yet large‐scale use of algal biomass remains limited by production costs. Industrial scaling is constrained by inefficient harvesting and the technical challenges of processing recalcitrant cell walls.

Numerical Simulation of a Solar Domestic Hot Water System

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2014
An innovative transient numerical model is presented for the simulation of a solar Domestic Hot Water (DHW) system. The solar collectors have been simulated by using a zerodimensional analytical model. The temperature distributions in the heat transfer fluid and in the water inside the tank have been evaluated by one-dimensional models.

Socioenvironmental implications of Jatropha curcas cultivation for biodiesel supply in postmining communities

open access: yesBiofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining, EarlyView.
Abstract The long‐term viability of Jatropha curcas as a biodiesel feedstock has been widely debated. Many early initiatives failed to deliver consistent economic returns despite promising environmental attributes. This study re‐evaluated J. curcas‐based systems within an integrated environmental–economic framework, focusing on their potential role in ...
