Bridging Cross‐Scale Science–Policy Interfaces for Coherent Land‐Use Governance: Knowledge Co‐Production and Uptake in Kenya's Polycentric System

open access: yesEnvironmental Policy and Governance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Land is fundamental to livelihoods and ecosystem health but faces mounting pressure from human activities, climate change, and competing development demands. Science–policy interfaces (SPIs)—platforms that connect experts and policymakers—are vital for co‐producing knowledge to inform coherent, sustainable land‐use governance.

Preparation of α‐Mono‐Fluoromethyl Silanes via Nucleophilic Displacement on Chlorosilanes With LiCH2F

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
The SiCl bond acts as a versatile platform for undergoing a formal nucleophilic substitution promoted by LiCH2F en route to extremely rare α‐monofluoromethyl‐silanes. Though surprising – when compared with well‐established poly‐fluoromethyl silanes (e.g., Ruppert‐Prakash reagent, TMSCF3) – α‐mono‐fluoromethyl silanes are underrepresented motifs in ...

Development of the Human–Equine Attachment Scale

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Human–horse relationships encompass diverse roles, from companion to competition partner. The impact of such bonds informs owner decision‐making regarding horse management and veterinary care, yet standardised instruments to measure these unique bonds are limited.

Buck Wheat: Nutritional, Bioactive Characteristics, Health Benefits, and Side Effects

open access: yesFuture Postharvest and Food, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Micronutrient deficits have resulted from an over‐reliance on a small number of cereal crops for food security. The agricultural sector faces severe sustainability issues due to the rapid growth of the world's population and sudden climatic changes.

Seasonal drivers of plant–soil–microbial community structure and functions in Western Himalayan grasslands, Pakistan

open access: yesGrassland Research, EarlyView.
Plant species richness was greater in summer in both alpine and subalpine grassland ecosystems. Soil moisture demonstrates significant positive correlations with soil organic carbon and total nitrogen across seasonal periods. Microbial α‐diversity peaks during summer but maintains functional stability across seasons.

From wild to cultivated crops: general shift in morphological and physiological traits for yield enhancement following domestication

open access: yesCrop and Environment
Crop species undergo artificial selection as a result of domestication under agricultural field conditions. However, there is limited information on the pattern of how domestication alters leaf photosynthesis, morphology, and biomass and its allocation ...

Native grass breeding: Priority needs and strategic approaches

open access: yesGrassland Research, EarlyView.
The key needs and breeding strategies of native grass. Abstract Native grasses possess extensive ecological adaptability, such as cold, drought, and salt tolerance, and tolerance to poor soil conditions. They play a crucial role in ensuring food security and ecological security.

Patterns of domestication in upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum): a perspective from multielement stoichiometry

open access: yesBMC Plant Biology
Upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum) is one of the most important cash crops in the world, but few studies have investigated its chemical and physiological changes during domestication, especially changes in chemical element stoichiometry.
