Dominance-Based Rough Set Approach to Granular Computing
2010Dominance-based Rough Set Approach (DRSA) was introduced as a generalization of the rough set approach for reasoning about preferences. While data describing preferences are ordinal by the nature of decision problems they concern, the ordering of data is also important in many other problems of data analysis.

Dominance-Based Rough Set Approach and Bipolar Abstract Rough Approximation Spaces
2008We take into consideration Dominance-based Rough Set Approach and its recently proposed algebraic modeling in terms of bipolar de Morgan Brower-Zadeh distributive lattice. On this basis we introduce the concept of bipolar approximation space and we show how it can be induced from a bipolar quasi Brower-Zadeh lattice.

A method for weight assignment by Dominance-based Rough Sets Approach
2009 Chinese Control and Decision Conference, 2009In many real problems, it does not consider the ranking characteristic of criteria to make multi-criteria decision with classical rough sets theory. By Dominance-based Rough Sets Approach (DRSA), this paper develops methods for weight assignment respectively under two settings, with decision sorting classes and without decision sorting classes ...

The dominance-based rough set approach as a business analytical tool
2016 6th International Conference on Computers Communications and Control (ICCCC), 2016This study demonstrates how to extract essential information from a set of financial and non-financial business indicators, leading to a better understanding of company performance. The use of Rough Set Theory and the Dominance principle associated with the probabilistic relationship between conditions and decisions in decision algorithms, is justified

Dominance-Based Rough Set Approach for Decision Analysis - A Tutorial
2008Scientific analysis of decision problems aims at giving the decision maker (DM) a recommendation concerning a set of objects (called also alternatives, solutions, acts, actions, cases, candidates) evaluated wiht respect to a plurality of their characteristics considered relevant for the problem at hand, and called attributes.

Dominance-Based Rough Set Approach to Reasoning About Ordinal Data
2007Dominance-based Rough Set Approach (DRSA) has been proposed by the authors to handle background knowledge about ordinal evaluations of objects from a universe, and about monotonic relationships between these evaluations, e.g. "the larger the mass and the smaller the distance, the larger the gravity" or "the greater the debt of a firm, the greater its ...

An Extended Dominance-Based Rough Set Approach to Group Decision
2007 International Conference on Wireless Communications, Networking and Mobile Computing, 2007In this paper we present a rough set approach to group decisions making. To deal with decision of multiple decision makers we extend dominance-based rough set by introducing specific concepts related to dominance with respect to minimal profiles of evaluations given by multiple decision makers.

Parallel computing of approximations in dominance-based rough sets approach
Knowledge-Based Systems, 2015Computation of approximation is a critical step for applying rough sets methodologies in knowledge discovery and data mining. As an extension of classic rough sets theory, Dominance-based Rough Sets Approach (DRSA) can process information with preference-ordered attribute domain and then can be applied in multi-criteria decision analysis and other ...

Dominance-Based Rough Set Approach to Interactive Evolutionary Multiobjective Optimization
2010We present application of Dominance-based Rough Set Approach (DRSA) to interactive Evolutionary Multiobjective Optimization (EMO). In the proposed methodology, the preference information elicited by the decision maker in successive iterations consists in sorting some solutions of the current population as “good” or “bad”, or in comparing some pairs of ...
