On Computing Dominant Frequency From Bipolar Intracardiac Electrograms

IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 2007
Dominant frequency (DF) computed from action potentials is a key parameter for investigating atrial fibrillation in animal studies and computer models. A recent clinical trial reported consistent results computing DF from 30 Hz to 400 Hz bandpass filtered bipolar electrograms in humans.

Frequencies Dominant in the Perception of the Pitch of Complex Sounds

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1967
This paper deals with measurements carried out with pulsive signals to determine the spectral region associated with dominant pitch perception. The stimulus consisted of the sum of (1) a low-frequency band of a unipolar pulse train with fundamental frequency f0 (or f0+Δf) and upper cutoff frequency fe and (2) a high-frequency band of a unipolar pulse ...

Dominant frequencies in the wake of the two cylinders

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2016
This article discusses the results of the spot measurement of the velocity fluctuation in the wake of two cylinders for two mutual positions and two modes of Reynolds numbers obtained using a hot wire probe (CTA method). The measurement for each setting was done at 121 points located mainly in the wake of both cylinders.

Feature extraction using dominant frequency bands and time-frequency image analysis for chatter detection in milling

open access: yesPrecision Engineering, 2019
Chatter is a cause of low surface quality and productivity in milling and crucial features need to be extracted for accurate chatter detection and suppression. This paper introduces a novel feature extraction approach for chatter detection by using image

Onset dynamics of ventricular tachyarrhythmias as measured by dominant frequency

Heart Rhythm, 2011
Differences in dominant frequency (DF), a measure of electrical activation rate, were used to characterize and classify ventricular tachyarrhythmias (VTA) at onset. In canine 3- to 5-day-old infarct border zone, monomorphic re-entrant ventricular tachycardia (MVT) was repeatedly induced by programmed electrical stimulation (14 experiments, total of 23 ...

Heterogeneity of dominant high‐frequency sensorineural deafness

Clinical Genetics, 1988
There are several types of autosomal dominantly inherited sensorineural hearing loss (AD‐SNHL), differentiated by audiograms. It is generally accepted that there are similarities in audiograms among members of the same family with dominant deafness. It has been supposed that AD‐SNHL must be divided into several types according to their audiograms or ...

SU-FF-J-83: To Investigate the Rate Reproducibility of Respiration Motion Using the Concept of Dominant Frequency, Power of Dominant Frequency and Dominant Bandwidth

Medical Physics, 2007
Introduction: Dominant frequency(DF) can be defined as the frequency with the maximal power in a frequency spectrum. This concept has been used to analyze signals in various fields of science as diverse as music, cardiac and seismic signals. In the current study DF and related frequency analysis techniques were used to investigate the reproducibility ...

Frequencies Dominant in the Perception of Pitch of Complex Sounds

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1966
In an investigation of the pitch of complex sounds, the relative importance of selected bands of frequencies was evaluated by determining the minimum sensation levels (SL) at which the bands govern over-all pitch. The stimulus consisted of the sum of (1) a low-frequency band of fundamental frequency f0 and upper cutoff frequency fc and (2) a high ...

Frequency recognition for SSVEP-BCI using reference signals with dominant stimulus frequency

2015 Asia-Pacific Signal and Information Processing Association Annual Summit and Conference (APSIPA), 2015
Detection of frequency for steady-state visual evoked potentials (SSVEP) is addressed. We propose to use the combination of CCA and training data-based template matching between two level of data adaptive reference signals that can deal with the dominant frequency.
