Comparison of pulse subtraction doppler and pulse inversion doppler
IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 2009In this paper, a new Doppler technique based on pulse subtraction imaging (PSD) is described and compared with pulse inversion Doppler (PID). Combining a nonlinear contrast agent imaging technique with a Doppler process provides a tool for detecting motion of both contrast agents and tissues.

Current Opinion in Critical Care, 2009
To describe the principles underlying oesophageal Doppler monitoring of cardiac output, and how invaluable information relating to left ventricular contractility, preload and afterload can be simply derived from the shape of the flow velocity waveform. This review highlights numerous applications in critical care and summarizes the nine prospective ...

Tissue Doppler echocardiography
Current Opinion in Cardiology, 1999Tissue Doppler echocardiography (TDE) is a relatively recent addition to the diagnostic ultrasonographic examination. This is similar to routine Doppler ultrasonography to assess blood flow, but technologic features focus on lower velocity frequency shifts. Two techniques are used to assess myocardial function: pulsed TDE and color-coded TDE.

Joint estimation of delay, Doppler, and Doppler rate
IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 1960The methods of inverse probability have been used by Woodward and others to obtain lower bounds on variances of radar parameter estimators. Previous results on the lower bounds of variances of delay and Doppler estimators have assumed that the reflecting object travels with a constant line of sight velocity and does not cause scintillation in the radar

Doppler, Inertial, and Doppler-Inertial Techniques
Navigation, 1964The flight characteristics of the supersonic aircraft are such that strong recommendations have been made for self-contained, accurate navigation and flight stabilization equipment. This paper discusses three types of equipment that can supply the required information: Doppler radar navigation systems, inertial navigation systems, and combined Doppler-

The Doppler moment transform in Doppler tomography
Inverse Problems, 2005The author investigates the problem of reconstructing two dimensional vector fields from tomographic measurements based on Doppler techniques. Measurements are made along lines, from which distributions of the field component parallel to the line are obtained.

[Artifacts in echo-Doppler and color-Doppler].
La Radiologia medica, 1992It is well known that artifacts can be observed during US examinations; the same is true also for Doppler and color-Doppler images of blood flow. Recognizing these artifacts is important to avoid image misinterpretations and, when possible, to overcome them by modifying either techniques or unit settings, or both.
