A unified approach to the analysis of incoherent Doppler lidars
This work describes the use of a generalized modal scattering matrix theory as a fast, efficient approach to the analysis of incoherent Doppler lidars. The new technique uses Bessel beams, a type of optical vortices, as the basic modal expansion characterizing optical signals. The tactic allows solving both multilayered reflections problems and spatial

Augmented Reality Based Doppler Lidar Data Visualization: Promises and Challenges
Augmented reality (AR) is a technology in which the enables the user to view virtual content as if it existed in real world. We are exploring the possibility of using this technology to view radial velocities or processed wind vectors from a Doppler wind

A Parameterized Simulation of Doppler Lidar
Upcoming missions to explore planetary bodies in the solar system will require accurate position and velocity data during descent in order to land safely at a predesignated site. A Doppler lidar instrument could provide measurements of the altitude, attitude, and velocity of the landing vehicle to supplement the data collected by other instruments.
