DOPPLER POSITIONING IN THE INDIAN OCEAN

open access: yesSurvey Review, 1983
Abstract Many papers have been written on the theory of Doppler Satellite positioning techniques and equipment. In contrast the following article details the practical use of such instruments with reference to work carried out in the Indian Ocean.

Doppler Positioning of Dynamic Targets with Unknown LEO Satellite Signals

open access: yesElectronics (Switzerland), 2023
A new concept of global navigation based on Doppler measurements from a large low Earth orbit (LEO) constellation is investigated that has potential to serve as a complement or backup to global navigation satellite systems (GNSSs) to provide navigation ...

Estimation of position from multistatic Doppler measurements

2010 13th International Conference on Information Fusion, 2010
We implement and evaluate a method infer position from Doppler measurements in a multistatic sonar scenario and present a likelihood approach for doing so. Doppler measurements are used to create likelihood surfaces for each of the transmitter-receiver pairs.

Positive power Doppler signal in plantar fasciitis

Rheumatology International, 2011
The plantar fascia is a multilayered band of fibrous tissue that support and maintain the longitudinal arch of the foot. We report a 34-old obese woman with heel pain for the past 3 years. On physical examination, she presented painful plantar fascia throughout extension of the foot.

Receiver Design for Doppler Positioning with Leo Satellites

ICASSP 2019 - 2019 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2019
A framework for positioning with low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite signals is proposed. The framework employs an extend Kalman filter (EKF) to estimate a receiver’s position using Doppler frequency measurements from LEO satellites. The satellites’ positions and velocities are known through two-line element (TLE) files.

Doppler-aided position estimation for HS-GNSS

2019 53rd Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems, and Computers, 2019
During the last decade, because of the growing needs for indoor navigation, many authors tends to improve the processing gain of the GNSS receivers by increasing the observation time. In this paper, we show that this gain can also be improved by considering the Doppler information during the trilateration step.
