Doppler shift extraction of wideband signal using spectrum scaling matching
Doppler shift is an important feature of moving targets. It can be used to extract target velocity, distance, track and other movement parameters. According to the problem of extracting Doppler shift for wideband signals with unstable line spectrum or no

Doppler Shift Target Localization
The problem of Doppler-based target position and velocity estimation using a sensor network is outlined. The minimum number of Doppler-shift measurements at distinct generic sensor positions in order to have a finite number of solutions, and later, a unique solution for the unknown target position and velocity are stated analytically.

Precise Doppler shift compensation in the hipposiderid bat, Hipposideros armiger. [PDF]
Bats of the Rhinolophidae and Hipposideridae families, and Pteronotus parnellii, compensate for Doppler shifts generated by their own flight movement.

Optical Doppler shift with structured light [PDF]
When a light beam with a transverse spatially varying phase is considered for optical remote sensing, in addition to the usual longitudinal Doppler frequency shift of the returned signal induced by the motion of the scatter along the beam axis, a new transversal Doppler shift appears associated to the motion of the scatterer in the plane perpendicular ...

Doppler effect tailoring: extra-red shift of structured light [PDF]
Doppler effect is a universal phenomenon that describes the frequency shift of waves when interacting with moving targets. Recent studies suggest that the spatial structures of light beams would provide a modification of the group and phase velocities of

On Doppler Shifts of Breaking Waves [PDF]
Field-tower-based observations were used to estimate the Doppler velocity of deep water plunging breaking waves. About 1000 breaking wave events observed by a synchronized video camera and dual-polarization Doppler continuous-wave Ka-band radar at incidence angles varying from 25 to 55 degrees and various azimuths were analyzed using computer vision ...

Optimal nonlinear fi ltering of stochastic processes in rescue radar [PDF]
Subject and Purpose. Smoke, fog, avalanches, debris of collapsed structures and other optically opaque obstacles in both natural and man-made disasters make optical sensors useless for detecting victims.

Multi-frequency observations of E-region HF radar aurora [PDF]
Multi-frequency observations of E-region coherent backscatter from decametre waves reveal that auroral echoes tend to comprise two spectral components superimposed, one at low Doppler shifts, below 250 ms-1, and the other Doppler shifted to near ...
