Size‐Dependent Ultrasound Activation of Thrombin Catalytic Activity by Mechano‐Nanoswitches

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The fundamental principles linking nanoparticle (NP) physicochemical properties to their interactions with sonomechanical forces are not well‐defined. This work systematically investigates the size‐dependent ultrasound activation of thrombin using different‐sized mechano‐nanoswitches, which provides critical insights into the role of NP size in nano ...

Red Blood Cells Internalize Extracellular DNA via Apoptotic Bodies with Clinical Relevance to Cancer Patients

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mature red blood cells (RBCs) can capture extracellular DNA, with short fragments homologous to cfDNA. This uptake is mediated by apoptotic bodies, which induce RBC oxidative stress, deformation, and accelerated in vivo clearance. The rbcDNA abundance correlates with tumor burden and therapeutic response, highlighting its potential as a liquid biopsy ...

Dual‐Laser Optical Tweezers for Photothermal Analysis of Hybrid Microgels

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dual‐laser optical tweezers unlock real‐time, single‐particle resolution of light‐driven actuation. Direct visualization and precise quantification of size changes under varying laser intensity provide new insights, overcoming limitations of conventional microscale actuator analysis.

FSTL1 Orchestrates Metabolic‐Epigenetic Crosstalk: Glycolysis‐Dependent H3K18 Lactylation Drives Cartilage Fibrosis in Osteoarthritis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
FSTL1 promotes glycolysis during chondrocyte fibrosis by triggering the HIF‐1 signaling pathway, which causes lactate to accumulate. The buildup of lactate leads to changes in histone lysine lactylation, which in turn enhances the expression of genes associated with fibrosis.

Multi‐Omics Reveal the Dysregulated Gut‐Joint Axis in Knee Synovitis: Data from Two Osteoarthritis Studies in China

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The “gut‐joint axis” in knee synovitis is uncovered. Integrated multi‐omics studies are conducted in two independent osteoarthritis cohorts. Synovitis is characterized an increased F/B ratio, as well as alterations of 3‐HIA, geranic acid, and TWEAK. Upregulated TWEAK receptor is found in high‐grade synovitis, and inversely correlated with lower TWEAK ...
