LncRNA‐MEG3 Regulates Muscle Mass and Metabolic Homeostasis by Facilitating SUZ12 Liquid–Liquid Phase Separation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study has identified lncRNA‐MEG3 as a key regulator of muscle mass, promoting slow‐twitch muscle fibers and preventing muscle atrophy. By stabilizing the SUZ12/PRC2 complex through liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS), lncRNA‐MEG3 influences mitochondrial function and lipid metabolism.

OcuPair, a Novel Photo‐crosslinkable PAMAM Dendrimer‐Hyaluronic Acid Hydrogel Bandage/Bioadhesive for Corneal Injuries and Temporary Corneal Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A schematic diagram showing the OcuPair adhesive hydrogel formulation loaded into the final delivery device and applied over the full‐thickness corneal wound in an in vivo rabbit model of corneal injury followed by in situ crosslinking to form a transparent hydrogel bandage sealing the wound.

Could a phase model help to improve translational animal research?

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, Volume 5, Issue 6, Page 550-556, December 2022., 2022
Transferability of findings from animal research to the human organism is controversially discussed. We propose a phase model which refers to the well‐known process of clinical research in order to improve decision‐making regarding the evidence which is gained in translational animal research.

Synergistic Modulating of Mitochondrial Transfer and Immune Microenvironment to Attenuate Discogenic Pain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Gallic acid (GA) and copper ions self‐assemble to form nanoparticles, which are then modified with mitochondrial targeting peptides and gap junction modulator. These nanoparticles scavenge mitochondrial reactive oxygen species to induce M2 polarization and enhance intercellular mitochondrial transfer.

A Bio‐Adaptive Janus‐Adhesive Dressing with Dynamic Lubrication Overlayer for Prevention of Postoperative Infection and Adhesion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Slippery‐adhesive Janus gel dressing exhibits both stable tissue adhesive and outstanding efficiency in repelling physiological fluids. As a physical barrier, a liquid‐infused surface with a dynamic lubrication overlayer possesses excellent antibiofouling properties, making it highly effective in preventing bacterial infections and postoperative tissue
