Use of an Endobronchial Blocker in a Patient with Tracheobronchial Anomaly for Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery: A Case Report

open access: yesTurkish Journal of Anaesthesiology and Reanimation
Tracheal bronchi (TB) is a rare anomaly and is usually asymptomatic. Although it is generally not a problem when a single lumen tube is used, it may cause ventilation difficulties in the intraoperative period in procedures requiring one lung ventilation,

ROS‐Responsive Nanobubbles for Dual‐Enhanced Ultrasound and Magnetic Resonance Imaging of Tumor Oxidative Stress

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We report the development of biotinylated PEGylated bilirubin‐coated perfluoropentane (bt‐PEG‐BR@PFP) nanobubbles, a novel class of ROS‐activatable and dual‐modality contrast agents that amplify both ultrasound (US) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) signals in response to elevated ROS.

Secreted Nonstructural Protein 3 is a Pathogenic Determinant of Orbivirus

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study uncovers a conserved PIP2‐dependent secretory pathway of orbivirus NS3 that induces vascular leakage. Pharmacological disruption of PIP2‐NS3 interaction significantly reduces viral pathogenicity and provides protective efficacy in murine models, establishing PIP2‐mediated NS3 secretion as both a key virulence determinant and a promising ...

The report of double lumen tube anaesthesia in National Cancer Centre of Mongolia

open access: yes, 2017
If we can successfully place a double lumen tube, then it will ensure safety for our patients throw out the use of one lung anaesthesia. We could achieve adequate oxygen saturation (Spo2 or SaO2) with maintenance of PaO2 the level of 100-150mm ...

Engineering Oncolytic Virus‐Armed Macrophages for Enhanced Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ZIFOA‐M is engineered by conjugating oncolytic adenovirus‐loaded ZIF‐8 nanoparticles onto macrophage surfaces via bioorthogonal chemistry. Upon tumor infiltration, the platform releases OA to downregulate CD47/CD24 on tumor cells, restoring macrophage phagocytosis.

Scalable Engineering of Bio‐Manufactured Extracellular Vesicles for Selective Delivery in Ovarian Cancer Patient‐Derived Models

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Engineered extracellular vesicles displaying Ephrin‐B2 selectively target Ephrin‐B4–expressing ovarian cancer cells, enabling precise delivery in patient‐derived models. This scalable bio‐manufacturing platform reveals a versatile strategy to exploit Ephrin signaling for highly specific therapeutic payload delivery and motivates exploration of tailored

Is flexible bronchoscopy necessary to confirm the position of double-lumen tubes before thoracic surgery?

open access: yes, 2011
Objectives: Flexible bronchoscopy is recommended to confirm correct placement of double-lumen tubes used for thoracic anesthesia. However, there is still controversy over routine bronchoscopic confirmation of their position.
