Reirradiation: Standards, challenges, and patient‐focused strategies across tumor types

open access: yesCA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians, EarlyView.
Abstract Reirradiation (reRT), defined as administering a course of radiation therapy to a specific area previously irradiated, is an evolving treatment strategy for locoregionally recurrent cancer that offers significant potential and poses inherent challenges.

Integration of ultrasound‐guided motion management into proton therapy treatment plans for ventricular tachycardia non‐invasive radio ablation

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 26, Issue 9, September 2025.
Abstract Background Stereotactic arrhythmia radioablation (STAR) is an emerging, non‐invasive treatment for refractory ventricular arrhythmias. The technology requires target motion management. Purpose We studied the integration of a novel ultrasound probe and holder for heart motion management into proton‐beam STAR treatment plans.

Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) planning CT on 8‐cm detector scanners: Proper dose control by combined use of two deep‐learning reconstruction algorithms

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 26, Issue 9, September 2025.
Abstract Purpose To explore the feasibility of transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) planning computed tomography (CT) on single‐source 8‐cm detector scanners with proper dose control by using two deep‐learning reconstruction algorithms. Methods Reduced‐dose TAVI planning CT was simulated by replacing routine aortic CT angiography (CTA) with a

Miniaturized Devices for On‐the‐Spot Generation of Small‐Diameter Vascular Grafts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 10, Issue 17, September 4, 2025.
An intracorporeal extrusion device is developed for on‐the‐spot generation of vascular grafts with tunable diameters spanning from 1 to 6 mm. The device uses biomimetic polymers and light, to promptly obtaining biocompatible and high‐burst pressure‐resistant grafts.
