A numerical method for pricing discrete double barrier option by Legendre multiwavelet

open access: yesJournal of Computational and Applied Mathematics, 2018
In this Article, a fast numerical numerical algorithm for pricing discrete double barrier option is presented. According to Black-Scholes model, the price of option in each monitoring date can be evaluated by a recursive formula upon the heat equation solution.

Effects of Add‐On Icosapent Ethyl With Standard Treatment on Functional Outcomes and Inflammatory Biomarkers in Acute Ischemic Stroke: A Blinded Randomized Controlled Trial

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Ischemic stroke, a major cause of mortality and long‐term disability, results from the abrupt cessation of cerebral blood flow due to vascular occlusion or rupture. Icosapent Ethyl (EPA‐EE), approved for hypertriglyceridemia, has anti‐inflammatory and antithrombotic properties that may lessen ischemic damage.

Explicit solutions of the exit problem for a class of Lévy processes; applications to the pricing of double-barrier options

open access: yes, 2012
Lewis and Mordecki have computed the Wiener–Hopf factorization of a Lévy process whose restriction of the Lévy measure on ]0,+∞[ has a rational Laplace transform. This allowed them to compute the distribution of (Xt,inf0≤s≤tXs).

Obesity Subtypes and Longitudinal Trajectories of Function Over Seven Years of Follow‐Up: Data From the Multicenter Osteoarthritis Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Obesity, defined by body mass index (BMI) ≥30 kg/m2, is a risk factor for functional limitations in people with knee osteoarthritis (OA). However, function varies among such individuals. Our objective was to evaluate the implications of obesity subtypes on longitudinal patterns of physical functioning in people with or at risk for knee OA ...
