Stigma, Double-Stigma, and Associated Hurdles
2023Women always face issues while travelling alone or in the form of a group. However, these issues became more devastating for Muslim women due to religious, safety, personal, and familial issues. Therefore, there is a need for a thorough concentration of motivation, perception and hurdles of Muslim solo or group female tourists.

A Double-Hurdle Model of Cigarette Consumption.

The double‐hurdle model with dependence is extended by incorporating the Box–Cox transformation. The model nests a range of popular limited dependent variable models, including the Gaussian double‐hurdle, the generalized Tobit, and two‐part models. Estimates of US beef consumption suggest that the Box–Cox specification outperforms all other restrictive

A double-hurdle approach to advertising: The case of cheese
Agribusiness, 1992This article uses a double-hurdle model to examine the demand for cheese. Essentially, this approach argues that the effects of advertising and other factors on product demand should be judged in terms of their influence on two separate decisions: a decision to participate in the market for cheese and the decision concerning how much to purchase.

The Double Hurdle Model in the Presence of Fixed Costs
SSRN Electronic Journal, 2003We present a model of market participation in which the presence of nonnegligible fixed costs leads to non-zero censoring of the traditional double-hurdle regression. Fixed costs arise when household resources must be devoted a priori to the decision to participate in the market.

A bootstrapped double hurdle analysis: consumption of home-produced food

Attribute and Safety Perceptions in a Double‐Hurdle Model of Shellfish Consumption
American Journal of Agricultural Economics, 1993AbstractIndividuals' perceptions of food product attributes such as safety may influence decisions about whether to consume and how much to consume. Survey data from southeastern U.S. adults were used in a double‐hurdle model to evaluate effects of health risk and other attribute perceptions on shellfish demand.

Double Hurdle Model: Not if, but When Will Customer Attrite?
2016Similar to the SDM, this chapter attempts to introduce a class of model known as double hurdle models (originally proposed by Cragg (1971)), which allows the potential attrition and the extent of attrition to be modeled separately. This double hurdle model of attrition is attempted for a European auto finance portfolio.
