Double Impulse Solutions in Nerve Axon Equations

SIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 1982
Double impulse solutions are examined for nerve axon equations. Only widely separated pulses are considered. Generically such double pulse solutions occur only when there is a slow oscillatory return to rest in the single impulse solution.

A Double Inequality for the Equivalent Impulse Bandwidth

IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 2010
In this paper, we derive a double inequality that permits one to obtain a lower and an upper limit for the value of the impulse bandwidth of a measuring receiver. The limits are the reciprocal of the integral of the relative envelope of the impulse response (lower limit) and the integral of the relative frequency response (upper limit) of the ...

Impulse Controls and Double Constraints

2014
In the first section of this chapter we deal with the problem of feedback impulse control in the class of generalized inputs that may involve delta functions and discontinuous trajectories in the state space. Such feedback controls are not physically realizable.
