Concrete in architecture: Redefining form, space, function, and insights from bibliometric analysis

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract Concrete has become a cornerstone in architectural and engineering innovation, as it seamlessly integrates structural performance with artistic expression. Its evolution from ancient opus caementicium to contemporary ultra‐high‐performance concrete illustrates its adaptability to the change in technological, environmental, and design paradigms.

Roman Domination in Weighted Graphs

open access: yesMathematics
A Roman dominating function for a (non-weighted) graph G=(V,E) is a function f:V→{0,1,2} such that every vertex u∈V with f(u)=0 has at least one neighbor v∈V such that f(v)=2.

Simple and detailed modeling of corrosion‐affected slender shear critical RC beams

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract The corrosion of steel bars compromises both the safety and the serviceability of reinforced concrete (RC) structures. Consequently, reliable tools are required to estimate the detrimental effects of corrosion on the structural response of RC members subjected to transverse loads.

A pipeline for megahertz X‐ray photon correlation spectroscopy on soft matter samples at the MID instrument of European XFEL

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation, EarlyView.
We present a standardized and highly automated pipeline for megahertz X‐ray photon correlation spectroscopy (MHz‐XPCS) on soft‐matter samples at the MID instrument of the European XFEL. The workflow addresses AGIPD petabyte‐scale data handling, detector‐artifact correction, correlation analysis and FAIR data output, enabling routine MHz‐XPCS with ...

Gender, Families, and Wealth Accumulation Among the One‐Child Generation

open access: yesThe British Journal of Sociology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Prior literature on gender and wealth accumulation largely examines the role of families in reproducing inequalities. However, less attention has been paid to families without sons, a significant demographic, particularly within China's one‐child generation, that challenges conventional understandings of familial wealth dynamics.
