On regularly generated double sequences

open access: yesFilomat, 2017
In this paper, we introduce regularly generated sequences for double sequence of real numbers, and obtain some Tauberian theorems for (C; 1; 1) summability method using the concept of regularly generated sequence.

Evaluation of double locus (clfB and spa) sequence typing for studying molecular epidemiology of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus in Taiwan

open access: yesJournal of Microbiology, Immunology and Infection, 2017
Background: Pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) is the “gold standard” for epidemiological investigation of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), but several DNA sequence-based methods have been developed in MRSA typing because of the ...

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

On some double cesàro sequence spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this study, we define the double Ces`aro sequence spaces Ces_p , Ces_bp and C es bp_0 and examine some properties of those sequence spaces. Furthermore, we determine the β(bp)-duals of the spaces Ces_ bp and Ces_p

Sequence-Specific Recognition of Double-Stranded DNA by Using Only PNAs in Parallel with Natural Nucleobases

open access: yes, 2022
The sequence-specific recognition of double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) is a key property for the control of DNA function. Peptide nucleic acid (PNA) can be utilised for the direct recognition of dsDNA via the formation of a unique invasion complex.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Quasi-Norms for a Double Sequence

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Information Sciences, 2002
Summary: The purpose of this note is to define and characterize different kinds of quasi-norms for a double sequence obtained by generalizing the \(l^p\)-norm. In particular, we focus on two weak \(l^p\)-norms: successive weak \(l^p\)-norm and standard weak \(l^p\)-norm. We give upper and lower bounds of the ratio of a successive weak \(l^p\)-norm to a

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Sequence-selective detection of double-stranded DNA sequences using pyrrole-imidazole polyamide microarrays

open access: yes, 2013
We describe a microarray format that can detect double-stranded DNA sequences with a high degree of sequence selectivity. Cyclooctyne-derivatized pyrrole imidazole polyamides were immobilized on azide-modified glass substrates using microcontact printing
