A duality for the double fibration transform

open access: yes, 2012
We establish a duality within the spectral sequence that governs the holomorphic double fibration transform. It has immediate application to the questions of injectivity and range characterization for this transform.

Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

Distribution Functions, Loop Formation Probabilities and Force-Extension Relations in a Model for Short Double-Stranded DNA Molecules

open access: yes, 2005
We obtain, using transfer matrix methods, the distribution function $P(R)$ of the end-to-end distance, the loop formation probability and force-extension relations in a model for short double-stranded DNA molecules.

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

An Explicit Solution to the Chessboard Pebbling Problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We consider the chessboard pebbling problem analyzed by Chung, Graham, Morrison and Odlyzko [3]. We study the number of reachable configurations $G(k)$ and a related double sequence $G(k,m)$.

Evidence for pairing states of composite fermions in double-layer graphene

open access: yes, 2019
Pairing interaction between fermionic particles leads to composite Bosons that condense at low temperature. Such condensate gives rise to long range order and phase coherence in superconductivity, superfluidity, and other exotic states of matter in the ...

On some double Cesàro sequence spaces

open access: yesFilomat, 2014
In this study, we define the double Ces?ro sequence spaces Cesp, Cesbp and Cesbp0 and examine some properties of those sequence spaces. Furthermore, we determine the ?(bp)-duals of the spaces Cesbp and Cesp.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.
