The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Matrix Transformations of Double Convergent Sequences with Powers for the Pringsheim Convergence

open access: yesMathematics
In 2004–2006, the corresponding double sequence spaces were defined for the Pringsheim and the bounded Pringsheim convergence by Gokhan and Colak. In 2009, Colak and Mursaleen characterized some classes of matrix transformations transforming the space of

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Mean-Field approximation and Quasi-Equilibrium reduction of Markov Population Models

open access: yes, 2014
Markov Population Model is a commonly used framework to describe stochastic systems. Their exact analysis is unfeasible in most cases because of the state space explosion.

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Dynamical Masses for Low-Mass Pre-Main Sequence Stars: A Preliminary Physical Orbit for HD 98800 B

open access: yes, 2005
We report on Keck Interferometer observations of the double-lined binary (B) component of the quadruple pre-main sequence (PMS) system HD 98800. With these interferometric observations combined with astrometric measurements made by the Hubble Space ...

On Ideal Convergent Difference Double Sequence Spaces in Intuitionistic Fuzzy Normed Linear Spaces

open access: yesUniversal Journal of Mathematics and Applications, 2021
In this paper, we introduce difference double sequence spaces ${I_{2} }^{(\mu,\upsilon)}(M,\Delta)$ and ${I_{2}^{0}}^{(\mu,\upsilon)}(M,\Delta)$ in the intuitionistic fuzzy normed linear spaces.
