Informant‐Reported Mobility‐Related Observations Associated With Subsequent Dementia in Adults With Intellectual Disability: A Longitudinal Cohort Study

open access: yesJournal of Intellectual Disability Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Dementia is more prevalent in individuals with intellectual disability (ID) than in the general population. Identifying signs of dementia is important to access relevant evaluations, treatment and care. The role of mobility in identifying dementia in ID is not well understood.

Dental Implants in Adults With Intellectual Disabilities: A Multicenter Retrospective Study. Part 2: Prosthesis Outcomes

open access: yesJournal of Oral Rehabilitation, EarlyView.
This multicenter retrospective study evaluated the long‐term outcomes of implant‐supported prostheses in adults with non‐syndromic intellectual disabilities. Among 247 prostheses with a mean follow‐up of 68 months, prosthetic survival reached 97% at 5 years and 85% at 15 years. These findings demonstrate that implant‐supported prosthetic rehabilitation

Impact of Hypoxemia Severity on Cardiac Autonomic Regulation in Children With Sleep‐Disordered Breathing: A McGill Oximetry‐Based Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Sleep Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sleep‐related breathing disorders (SRBD) represent a significant paediatric health concern. Traditional polysomnographic indices, such as the apnoea–hypopnoea index, may not fully capture the physiological burden of paediatric SRBD, highlighting the need to better characterise the impact of nocturnal hypoxemia on cardiac autonomic regulation ...
