Electrically and Magnetically Tunable Charge–Density–Wave Transport in Quasi‐2D h‐BN/1T‐TaS2 Field Effect Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Perpendicular electric and magnetic fields are used to control charge‐density‐wave (CDW) domain dynamics in quasi‐two‐dimensional h‐BN/1T‐TaS2 field‐effect devices. Electrical gating produces a non‐monotonic modulation of the CDW depinning threshold — behavior distinct from quasi‐one‐dimensional CDW systems.

A New Surface Waters Downscaling Approach Applicable at Global Scale

open access: yesRemote Sensing
A surface water extent downscaling framework was developed in the past using a floodability index based on topography. We presented here a new downscaling approach including several improvements.

Advancing Energy Materials by In Situ Atomic Scale Methods

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
Progress in in situ atomic scale methods leads to an improved understanding of new and advanced energy materials, where a local understanding of complex, inhomogeneous systems or interfaces down to the atomic scale and quantum level is required. Topics from photovoltaics, dissipation losses, phase transitions, and chemical energy conversion are ...

Assessing Mesoscale Heterogeneities in Hard Carbon Electrodes Through Deep Learning‐Assisted FIB‐SEM Characterization, Manufacturing and Electrochemical Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A combination of discrete and finite element method models for the current collector deformation and electrochemical performance analysis, respectively. The models are calibrated and validated with electrochemical and imaging data of hard carbon electrodes. These electrodes were manufactured with different parameters (slurry solid contents of 35 and 40

Climate Change Mitigation in the Dairy Sector: Uncovering Heterogeneity Through Eco‐Efficiency Clubs

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Combining climate change goals with economic targets is crucial for the dairy sector, which is a significant contributor to agricultural greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions worldwide. In this paper, we assess economic and climate change implications of dairy production with panel data of Irish dairy farms from 2013 to 2021.

Statistical downscaling with the downscaleR package: Contribution to the VALUE intercomparison experiment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Abstract. The increasing demand for high-resolution climate information has attracted a growing attention for statistical downscaling methods (SD), due in part to their relative advantages and merits as compared to dynamical approaches (based on regional climate model simulations), such as their much lower computational cost and their fitness-for ...
