HN1 Functions in Protein Synthesis Regulation via mTOR‐RPS6 Axis and Maintains Nucleolar Integrity

open access: yesCell Proliferation, Volume 58, Issue 6, June 2025.
HN1 is required for nucleolar homeostasis which is the site of ribosome biogenesis and protein synthesis when its mRNA is knocked down by shRNA, it depletes in cytoplasm and the protein synthesis is downregulated in comparison to controls. Thus, the proliferating cells requiring vast number of nucleosomes, are arrested at S onset.

Hypertranscription of rDNA Responsible for Nucleolar Remodelling is a Doorman for Acquiring Pluripotency

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Active nucleoli have the capability to release perinuclear heterochromatin, which is a novel event of iPSC reprogramming. ABSTRACT Ribosome biogenesis occurs within the nucleolus, with the initial step being the transcription of ribosomal DNA (rDNA). Although rDNA transcription is limited in somatic cells, it is more active in stem cells. Nevertheless,

Cetuximab plus 5‐fluorouracil in patients with advanced cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma: a retrospective cohort study

open access: yesJDDG: Journal der Deutschen Dermatologischen Gesellschaft, EarlyView.
Summary Background For patients with locally advanced (la) or metastatic (m) cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) who are not candidates for curative surgery/radiation or systemic anti‐PD1 therapy, anti‐EGFR in combination with chemotherapy is a rational treatment option.
