Metric-based correlation of the martensite distribution to degree of strain inhomogeneity in plasticity of dual phase steels

open access: yesJournal of Materials Science: Materials in Engineering
A useful set of metrics are introduced to quantify and track the degree of inhomogeneity in alloys in relation to plastic strain evolution. Implementation of the proposed variables is exemplified by employing a physics-based plasticity simulation of a ...

Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Ultrafine-Grained Dual-Phase 0.1C3Mn Steel Processed by Warm Deformation

open access: yesMetals
In this study, we have explored the thermomechanical processing on 0.1C3Mn steel to produce an ultrafine-grained (UFG) dual-phase (DP) microstructure. The composition was designed to allow a decrease in temperature for the warm deformation of austenite ...

Springback/Springforward Behaviour of DP Steels Used in the Automotive Industry

open access: yesTehnički vjesnik, 2020
The springback/springforward behaviour in a V-die/punch of DP600 and DP780 steels used in the automotive industry was investigated. For this study, experiments were carried out by using different combinations of parameters, including material thickness, die/punch radius, bending angle and rolling direction and the resulting measurements showed that the

Physics‐Informed Machine Learning for Sustainable Alloy Design: Toward a Recyclable Unified Q&P Steel

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A physics‐informed property‐bridging framework links high‐throughput hardness screening to tensile performance in quenching and partitioning steels. By transferring metallurgically guided representations across properties, a single alloy composition is designed to achieve multiple strength grades through heat‐treatment tuning alone, offering a ...

A Non‐Canonical Core Transcriptional Regulatory Circuit Orchestrates Chromatin Reprogramming to Drive Osimertinib Resistance in Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A non‐canonical core transcriptional regulatory circuit, composed of ID3, SMAD3, and NR2F2, drives Osimertinib resistance in non‐small cell lung cancer through super‐enhancer‐mediated activation of EPAS1, which couples neuroendocrine differentiation with ferroptosis evasion.

Pharmacological Inhibition of FKBP51 Mitigates Early Life Adversity‐Induced Social Deficits in Male Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Early life adversity triggers persistent social subordination and brain‐wide molecular dysregulation. Pharmacological inhibition of the stress‐mediator FKBP51 during the adversity period prevents these long‐term deficits and restores normative social hierarchy.

Real‐Time Stress Visualization of Hydrogels Enabled by Supramolecularly Switched Stretch‐Induced Phase Separation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Supramolecular hydrogels enable real‐time visualization of mechanical stress through supramolecular switching mechanotransduction. Adamantane‐modified cellulose functions as a responsive domain that undergoes an on–off transition between hydrated and dehydrated states via reversible β‐cyclodextrin–adamantane complexation and decomplexation.

Rising Pancreatic Cancer Incidence in Young Japanese Women and Increasing Distal Pancreatectomy in Older Adults: A Nationwide Claims‐Based Analysis From 2016 to 2023

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
This nationwide claims‐based study analyzed recent trends in pancreatic cancer incidence (2016–2021) and surgery (2016–2023) in Japan. The study revealed a rising incidence of pancreatic cancer, notably among young women, and an increasing use of distal pancreatectomy among older adults.
