Brain Pericytes and Wnt/β‐Catenin Signaling Induce Functional Blood–Brain Barrier Phenotype in Human iPSC‐Derived Model

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
This study shows that human iPSC‐derived endothelial cells acquire a functional blood–brain barrier phenotype when co‐cultured with brain pericytes and stimulated with CHIR‐99021, a Wnt/β‐catenin activator. This model recapitulates key barrier properties, inflammatory responses, and transcriptomic features of the native human BBB, offering new ...

ARC-MONOPOLE COUPLED DRA

open access: yesProgress In Electromagnetics Research B, 2015
In this work, characteristics of an arc-monopole loaded with a DRA is analyzed. It is observed that the arc-monopole can be used to effectively couple to multiple DRA modes and generate dual/triple/wideband topologies. The structure is easy to fabricate with no additional substrate or matching slot/vias required to excite the multiple DRA modes.
