Experimental Study on the Drag Reduction of Surfactant and Microgrooves

open access: yesChemical Engineering Transactions, 2020
In the drag-reducing surfactant solution, the scale of near-wall vortices could be enlarged, and the drag reduction mechanism of longitudinal microgrooves was related to the scale of near-wall streamwise vortices.

Turbulent drag reduction of a d-type rough wall boundary layer with longitudinal ribs placed with in the grooves. Reduction rate and time mean properties.

open access: yesTRANSACTIONS OF THE JAPAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Series B, 1991
In order to control the turbulent energy production and transport processes due to the coherent vortices associated with the bursting phenomenon in a d-type rough wall turbulent boundary layer, longitudinal thin ribs were placed within the transverse grooves with a suitable spanwise spacing.

Analysis of Drag Reduction Methods and Mechanisms of Turbulent

open access: yesApplied Bionics and Biomechanics, 2017
Turbulent flow is a difficult issue in fluid dynamics, the rules of which have not been totally revealed up to now. Fluid in turbulent state will result in a greater frictional force, which must consume great energy.

On the drag reduction mechanism of hypersonic turbulent boundary layers subject to heated wall blowing

open access: yesAdvances in Aerodynamics, 2023
Turbulence drag reduction is of great significance for the range increase of hypersonic flight vehicles. The proposed velocity-temperature coupling control method (Liu et al, Phys Rev Fluids 6:044603, 2021) is further extended to the hypersonic turbulent

De novo synthesis of short‐chain aldehydes and hydrocarbons secreted by the brown marmorated stink bug Halyomorpha halys

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The brown marmorated stink bug, Halyomorpha halys, mainly secretes 4‐oxo‐(E)‐2‐hexenal, (E)‐2‐decenal, dodecane and tridecane, a mixture representative of that released by many heteropterans. We demonstrated that H. halys can synthesise these secretory components de novo using dietary glucose.

[18F]Fluorodeprenyl‐D2 PET as a Tool to Monitor Disease Activity in GAD65‐Ab Autoimmune Encephalitis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate [18F]fluorodeprenyl‐D2 ([18F]F‐DED) positron‐emission tomography (PET) imaging as a biomarker of disease activity in autoimmune encephalitis (AIE) associated with glutamic acid decarboxylase 65 (GAD65) antibodies. Methods [18F]F‐DED PET was performed in 25 GAD65‐AIE patients and 8 controls using dynamic (0–60 min) and ...
