Fast accretion of small planetesimals by protoplanetary cores
We explore the dynamics of small planetesimals coexisting with massive protoplanetary cores in a gaseous nebula. Gas drag strongly affects the motion of small bodies leading to the decay of their eccentricities and inclinations, which are excited by the ...

Mechanochromism of Glassy Polymers Enabled by a Loop‐Forming Supramolecular Mechanophore
The supramolecular mechanophore LOOP is covalently introduced into glassy polymers, capable of reporting force‐induced pre‐failure damage and local fracture events in polymer glasses. Under different mechanical deformation modes, including grinding, tensile stretching, and scratching, LOOP probes irreversible events in polymer glasses through a ...

Aerodynamic shape optimization of a low drag fairing for small livestock trailers [PDF]
Small livestock trailers are commonly used to transport animals from farms to market within the United Kingdom. Due to the bluff nature of these vehicles there is great potential for reducing drag with a simple add-on fairing.

This study evaluates 3D‐printed recombinant spider silk hydrogel eADF4(C16)‐RGD in a rat AV loop model for tissue engineering. Constructs with T17b endothelial progenitor cells showed enhanced vascularization and biodegradation. Results highlight the importance of scaffold design and cellular integration in improving vascular density and overall ...

Bubbly Turbulent Drag Reduction Is a Boundary Layer Effect [PDF]
In turbulent Taylor-Couette flow, the injection of bubbles reduces the overall drag. On the other hand, rough walls enhance the overall drag. In this work, we inject bubbles into turbulent Taylor-Couette flow with rough walls (with a Reynolds number up ...

xx xx. ABSTRACT Stimuli‐responsive nanomaterials capable of spatiotemporal control over drug release are of nanocomposite patch (“e‐Medi‐Patch”) engineered from biodegradable polycaprolactone (PCL), graphene nanoplatelets, and a redox‐active therapeutic, niclosamide. The hierarchical composite integrates π‐π interactions between aromatic drug molecules

A human microfluidic blood‐brain barrier (mBBB) model enables spatially resolved comparison of nanoparticle trafficking. Extracellular vesicles (EVs), liposomes, and nanoplastics exhibit distinct transport and disruption behaviors, revealing that membrane composition and uptake pathways govern BBB interaction.
