Spatial variation in landscape evolution of the Xiaojiang Region, SE Tibetan Plateau

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2023
Both tectonism and erosion are presumed to have influenced the landscape evolution of the Xiaojiang Region, SE Tibetan Plateau. However, it remains unclear which of these broad processes has played the dominant role in determining landscape form and ...

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Anomalias de Drenagem e Evolução da Paisagem no Médio Vale do Rio Paraíba do Sul (RJ/SP). [PDF]

open access: yesAnuário do Instituto de Geociências, 2006
The evolution of the drainage system is driven by influence structural and changes in the climatic regime resulting in specific morphological features. We studied one of these features – drainage anomalies – in the middle valley of Paraíba do Sul River ...

Rates of erosion and landscape change along the Blue Ridge escarpment, southern Appalachian Mountains, estimated from in situ cosmogenic 10Be [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The Blue Ridge escarpment, located within the southern Appalachian Mountains of Virginia and North Carolina, forms a distinct, steep boundary between the lower-elevation Piedmont and higher-elevation Blue Ridge physiographic provinces.

Prospects of Electric Field Control in Perpendicular Magnetic Tunnel Junctions and Emerging 2D Spintronics for Ultralow Energy Memory and Logic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electric control of magnetic tunnel junctions offers a path to drastically reduce the energy requirements of the device. Electric field control of magnetization can be realized in a multitude of ways. These mechanisms can be integrated into existing spintronic devices to further reduce the operational energy.

Late Cenozoic Denudation and Topographic Evolution History of the Lhasa River Drainage in Southern Tibetan Plateau: Insights From Inverse Thermal History Modeling

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2021
The interaction of surface erosion (e.g., fluvial incision) and tectonic uplift shapes the landform in the Tibetan Plateau. The Lhasa River flows toward the southwest across the central Gangdese Mountains in the southern Tibetan Plateau, characterized by

Effects of drainage salinity evolution on irrigation management [PDF]

open access: yesWater Resources Research, 2003
A soil physics theory of solute movement through a drained saturated zone underlying agricultural land is introduced into a long‐term economic analysis of farm‐level irrigation management; this is an alternative to the immediate, homogeneous blending assumption employed in previous studies as a base for calculating changes in drainage salinity over ...
