Design and Evaluation of a CAD/CAM System for Progressive Dies [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2009
The objective aim of this paper is to generate design and manufacturing data of themain components of progressive dies depending on a 2D drawing ( low level entities) ofthe desired part , then the drawing data manipulated and improved to create 2 ½ ...

“We Cannot Talk as a Family”: Complexities of Survivorship Communication Among Hispanic/Latino Young Adult Survivors of Childhood Cancer, Parents, and Clinicians

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Young adult childhood cancer survivors (YA‐CCS) have an increased risk of treatment‐related health complications throughout their lives. Lifelong survivorship care is recommended, yet many YA‐CCS experience disruptions in care during pediatric‐to‐adult transitions and do not receive recommended survivorship care.

Ear height control by die radius shape in cylindrical deep drawing [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences
This study presents the relationship between die radius shape and anisotropy that suppresses ear height in cylindrical deep drawing. In deep drawing, the cup is formed with irregularities on the edge, called “earing”, due to the anisotropy of sheet ...

ANALYTICAL AND NUMERICAL STUDY OF TUBE DRAWING THROUGH A CONICAL DIE

open access: yesMağallaẗ Al-kūfaẗ Al-handasiyyaẗ, 2021
Tube drawing are one of the most important forming processes manufacturing whole board. This process suffers from many problems regarding the deformation behavior of the tube material, as there is no control on the inner radius, i.e.

Comparative Evaluation of Hemodiafiltration, Hemoperfusion, and Standard Hemodialysis on Efficacy, Inflammatory Control, Dialysis Adequacy, and Safety in End‐Stage Renal Disease: A Prospective Observational Study

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

Application of Dual - Phase Steel in Deep - Drawing Process [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2005
Deep drawing was carried out on circular blanks having a thickness of (0.6 mm) from low carbon steel ( 0.07% C ) & dual phase steel using a conical die having die semi - angle of ( 20 ° ) and throat diameter of ( 13.8mm) with punch of ( 12 mm ) diameter .

On the Wire Drawing Exponential Die

open access: yesTransactions of the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers, 1959
Regarding the inner profile of wire drawing die, besides conical die those which have circular, hyperbolic or elliptic surface of revolution were studied. But die which has exponential surface of revolution has not been discussed. In multistage plastic working the ratios of cross sectional areas of work are changed in general in according to ...

Safety of Daprodustat for the Treatment of Chronic Kidney Disease Anemia: Final Analysis of a Multicenter Postmarketing Surveillance Study in Japan

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction This final analysis of a multicenter, prospective postmarketing surveillance study evaluated the safety of daprodustat in patients with chronic kidney disease anemia in routine clinical practice in Japan. Methods Patients who initiated daprodustat between September 2020 and July 2022 were registered.

Bending of a circular tube with a drawing die.

open access: yesTRANSACTIONS OF THE JAPAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Series C, 1988
A new method of tube bending is proposed and the features of the bending machine made on an experrimental basis are examined. In one of the traditional methods of tube bending, the workpiece is pressed onto a rotating form by a pressure die. Essentially, the new idea in the proposed method is that a drawing die is used instead of the pressure die such ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.
