Cracked Metal–Phenolic Networks with Durable Confinement Capillarity for Enhanced Solar Desalination
Nature‐inspired cracks are introduced into photothermal metal–phenolic networks (C‐MPNs). These crack patterns can be controlled to optimize water flow, enabling confinement capillarity to enhance the evaporation rate while preventing salt fouling. The cracks also serve as a buffer zone to significantly enhance the stability of the C‐MPNs, overcoming ...

Study on radon and radium concentrations in drinking water in west region of Iran [PDF]
One of the most important characterizations of social health is existence the availability of safe drinking water. Since one of the sources of water contamination is nuclear contamination from radon gas, so in this research radon 222 concentration levels in water supplies in the Toyserkan (a region located in the west of Iran) is investigated.

Sonicated Carbon Nanotube Catalysts for Efficient Point‐of‐use Water Treatment
The growing demand for freshwater and rising contamination of water sources require innovative treatment technologies. Sonicated carbon nanotubes can activate persulfate for selective contaminant degradation via nonradical pathways. This scalable approach enables rapid pollutant removal, offering a sustainable solution for decentralized freshwater ...

Where's My Drink? Enabling Peripheral Real World Interactions While Using HMDs [PDF]
Head Mounted Displays (HMDs) allow users to experience virtual reality with a great level of immersion. However, even simple physical tasks like drinking a beverage can be difficult and awkward while in a virtual reality experience. We explore mixed reality renderings that selectively incorporate the physical world into the virtual world for ...

CO2‐Responsive Smart Wood Scaffold for Natural Organic Matter Removal without Secondary Pollution
A CO2‐responsive smart wood scaffold is developed for sustainable water purification, achieving efficient natural organic matter (NOM) removal and microbial disinfection without secondary pollution. The CO2‐responsive polymer coating undergoes protonation upon CO2 exposure, enabling strong cation−π interactions with NOM.
