Outcome of the ‘Drip-and-Ship’ Paradigm among Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke: Results of a Statewide Study

open access: yesCerebrovascular Diseases Extra, 2012
Background: The ‘drip-and-ship’ paradigm denotes a treatment regimen in patients in whom intravenous (IV) recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (rt-PA) is initiated at the emergency department (ED) of a community hospital, followed by transfer within ...

A Review on Microreactor Design for Effective Fischer–Tropsch Process Intensification

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Design strategies for effective Fischer–Tropsch process intensification are summarized based on experimental and simulation experiences. Recommendations for catalyst loading of packed‐bed and wash‐coated microchannel, microtube, micromonolith, and microstructured reactors are discussed.

Lead‐Free Bismuth Halide Perovskite Memristors: Low‐Voltage Switching and Physical Modeling of Resistive Hysteresis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Lead‐free bismuth halide perovskite memristors exhibit stable low‐voltage resistive switching behavior. The conductance‐activated quasi‐linear memristor model quantitatively reproduces the experimental hysteresis, confirming ion migration‐driven filament dynamics.

Sialic Acid Sensing via Molecularly Imprinted Polymer on Laser‐Induced Graphene

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
Sialic acid is an important biomarker for oral and overall health. Salivary levels of sialic acid are linked with oral cancer and other diseases. We develop a point‐of‐care sensor for sialic acid, based on molecularly imprinted aminophenylboronic acid electropolymerized onto laser‐induced graphene.

Diffusion of modern irrigation technologies in Reunion Island : An evolutionary approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We develop an evolutionary economics framework designed to assess the diffusion and adoption processes of modern, water-saving, irrigation technologies among heterogeneous farmers over time. This framework is evaluated using a survey on 114 farms located

Neural Circuits between Nodose Ganglion and Pulmonary Neuroendocrine Cells Regulate Lung Inflammatory Responses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TRPA1+αCGRP+ sensory neurons in the nodose ganglion detect external insults such as lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and interact directly with pulmonary neuroendocrine cells (PNECs), promoting their activation and proliferation. This neural‐epithelial interaction amplifies lung inflammation.
